I don't think there's anything you could have done in Watson's situation. Her entire aura and streaming style caused a bunch of people to genuinely fall in love with her somehow, so she got a negative reaction from long term members when she voiced her thoughts on potential male collabs. While it seems crazy and fucking bonkers, some of the posts on /vt/ complaining about her were not jokes at all.

This is some real ass, corny ass, wack ass shit. You either go all-in and don't even bring up guys at all, or you set your expectations early on like Mori and Bae to prevent this kind of thing from happening so autismos don't get upset about it. Just like every generation on any company, you get to shape your culture and your fans throughout your streams, experiences and shenanigans. If you're literally testing the waters of how western fans are going to react to you and evolve *with* you, you cannot do something as reckless as shutting what could be a big part of them down, especially if your own company is testing if your branch is even worth the risk.

Bae on the other hand, is from the second gen. But was never her core content and was only a very few streams on special occasions (valentine). It's wild to me how many viewers latched onto her for GFE when she never gave me that vibe since debut. She certainly does not go out of her way to provide GFE like Rushia or Lamy, but she does share a lot of her interest with teammates.
I dont believe Ame really wants to provide GFE, and if updating viewers about her daily life end up attracting bunch of unicorns, I can definitely see her slowly cutting back on that and end up like Gura who is more or less treating it like a job.
