A realization hit me. Ame mentioned that she got anxious during streams when Superchats that came in, and said she just wanted to focus on the game. But found it difficult to do this because she essentially knew all the SCs she received would eventually ALL have to read/thanked in her reading streams, which went on for hours. My realization is; What if the reason she has been keeping streams on the shorter side in the last 2 months is because she wanted to limit the superchats coming in, as opposed to turning them off and feeling bad for doing so? What if this new change in the way she reads SCs means that she can now focus on the game more, which will result in longer streams again?

What I expect her to do on packed weeks is having more than 1 stream a day instead. That way she can still have really packed weeks with 2-3 hours streams like she promised.
She also likes to finish short games in one sitting, and they're perfect for her (Donut, A short Hike and Journey were all good streams). For these games, she's also willing to put 5-6 hours in the same stream as long as they're interesting.

People praise Gura that but then you have to understand a few things about her.
- she takes at least 2 days off, last week was 3
- she never does more than 1 stream a day
- Her superchat reading takes a good part of her streams, so the gaming part is usually around 3-4 hours
- She's very smart about her schedule, usually scheduling 2 weeks in a row and chumbuds will eat it up.
I think Ame is fine where she is as long as she tries to be a variety streamer, with 2 streams a day most days and longer days for the rest. I don't think we're quite back there yet but we'll see how the next few weeks go.

I really like her Oblivion and Sunshine streams (the former much more). But I don't think it's smart playing them for such a short period of time, barely over 2 hours per stream. It can turn people off because it gives the impression she's not making any progress. Oblivion's story alone is about 30 hours. Ame's last 5 Oblivion streams average at 2hrs and 7 minutes each.

It has more to do with how spread out the streams are. She has actually only streamed Sunshine 4 times, and has made good progress in most of them (with the last one being by far the slowest because she was going for the hardest optional shine in the game, but still). She has been on the Sunshine playthrough longer than Galaxy at this point, which was finished in 8 streams over the course of 1 month and 2 days, with the streams not being much longer (usually ~3 hours, sometimes including superchat readings iirc). She could conceivably finish Sunshine in 8-10 streams as well (especially since she will probably not get as much optional shit as before) but it'll last a lot longer at this rate. (This hasn't been entirely her fault either, as things like the office relocation have gotten in the way.)
Oblivion is more to fuck around in and would kinda suffer from the feeling of lack of progress anyway, in my opinion.

I still don't mind that much though because the tradeoff is that she's still at least trying to do a lot of other things next to those long-running playthroughs.
