I do think it's something specific to HoloEN because I watch some indies that frequently collab and some nijiEN. While people like the nijis have had 'yabs' like Pomu vs Nina, it doesn't feel so goddamn lifeless and awkward all the time like the Ame IRyS rust interactions from yesterday.

Honestly, the more I think about it, yes, HoloEN totally does banter a lot. It is just that there are just a certain few like Ina who doesn't, or Mori who only does it for Gura or Irys but is very respectful to others still.

Not even dipping into tribalism, but NijiEN has very little to do outside of streaming, anon. You can't expect, for example, Gura to stay hours past her bedtime sitting on Discord to talk to other girls when she need to records her song or 3D data for concert the next day. The few girls who actually do that (i.e: IRyS), have terrible sleeping schedule which will (if not already have) ruin their health in the long run

Some of it most likely also comes down to not wanting to bother with the type of banter that can come back. Plenty of times where Mori or someone else have picked up on the banter and then just murdered the flow of everything.
