My jaw is my worst joint for bone on bone, but right shoulder especially was like that before PT. Most generally still are due to osteoarthritis, but I'll say muscle buildup helps A LOT. I agree on walking as well. I'm actually a pretty active person and aside from streaming, I actually don't get to spend as much time resting as I'd like or as my pain would suit me, so I'm walking a decent bit. For me, running is a no go or walking prolonged on asphalt wrecks my feet and ankle joints, along with trouble with asthma and my heart problems. So as far as long walks for exercise, pilates and bodyweight works best for me.

As for pain relief, I've tried most medicines offered and I can say Cymbalta helped the most and is my current prescription for pain. Previously in the past k was on a large number of them, but I'm glad to have it down. NSAIDS I really don't reccomend since they start to lose effectiveness overtime and they just absolutely fucked my stomach. I'm actually in the camp of looking for alternatives myself because I dislike being reliant on pills to not be bed bound.

With me being off the cane, it was through getting stronger through rigorous PT and OT. One reason I'm also glad to be off of it is because it was really hard on my shoulder and I was seeing a big increase in subluxations. If I was going to a place like an amusement park or something, I would probably bring mine along with me incase one of my joints became extra wobbly.
