If the CCV loss in Dec. 2020 on the Holo JP side was masked by their growth then Niji and other JP groups should have seen huge CCV loss around that time which I don’t think would have gone unnoticed.
The saw tooth graphs were on every EN stream once their CCV tanked but those same patterns weren’t as defined or as frequent on most JP streams.
Waiting room recovery and growth is also definitely much worse for non JPs or CNs. Luxiem is a pretty prime example of that compared to the girls but even on actual JP streams you’ll often see waiting rooms with similar or smaller numbers of people waiting quickly resolve into a larger CCV.

I work from 9 am to 6 pm every day. By the time I get home and am able to watch streams after making dinner and traveling, it's 7 pm. I have maybe 3-4 hours to watch vtubers, but most of the time less than that because I still need to do other RL shit and keep up with my other daily routines. If someone is on and I like what they're playing, I might put them on, but a lot of the time I'm watching VODs because I like being able to skip around in a stream and there's nothing useful in big corpo chats anyway.
Even HoloEN is too much for me to keep up with streamwise when you take into account VODs.
