>Start of the stream
Okayu meant to stream last night after she got home from practice, but she wanted to take a nap first, and it all ended with her sleeping into the early morning. How long did she sleep? She’s not sure how long, but probably around 7 hours. Her accessories are cute? They sure are. Look at the little earring that says “Okayu” on it. Okayu’s mama is in the chat too, and drew the art that Okayu’s using for today’s thumbnail

Okayu’s got dance lessons from noon to night today, so she probably won’t be feeling up to streaming later. Talking to the Onigiryaa in the morning makes her feel like she can do her best today though. She really did want to play more Fire Emblem last night! She needs to know what happens next; she’s obsessed with the game lately. Raising characters she likes is really fun. She feels like she finally started to understand the mechanics when she spent 3 hours on that level with the two ships a couple of streams ago.

Did you all listen to her new cover last night? Did it take you by surprise? Even though she’s been working on her original songs lately, she still wants to release covers, but it’s really hard for her to decide when to release them. She was pretty sure she wasn’t able to stream last night so she thought “now’s the time”. The person who made it, FLG4, is the same person who made Okayu’s “Adieu, Salauds”, and it’s the song that first made Okayu aware of them. She loves it, and wanted to cover it for a while now, deciding it was best around now. The comments of people who had been waiting for somebody from hololive to cover the song made her very happy. The high parts of the song definitely had her throat pushed to the edge. Please listen to, and fall in love with Hatsukoisou!

>Lives
She’s been in a couple lately, hasn’t she? Like Aqua’s and Botan’s. She spent a lot of time thinking of how she wanted to sing Kokoro Odoru while she practiced it. Going “hmmmm” the whole time. She also really liked the little animated displays behind them while they sang. Onigiri for Okayu, bread for Korone, and ramen for Botan. It was really stylish, but also comical to her. It was also funny to have the dogs outnumbered by cats for once. Okayu’s the only cat in Gamers, while the others are all canines, so it was a very rare mood to have Botan with her to outnumber Korosan. Fubuki’s not a cat? She’s a very splendid dog, you see. Wait, foxes are in the same family as dogs, right? They are? Well then okay, she IS a dog.

>Cue light phobia
Okayu’s recently developed a fear of the red light at studios that cues when it’s a person’s turn to talk. She was by herself when she had to do that stuff, but for anime she hears that people do it all at the same time, stepping up when their light goes on. She thinks that’s amazing; she’d definitely walk up to the wrong mic if she was in that situation. People do it solo for games? She wonders why that is exactly. Maybe because it would be embarrassing doing grunts/cries with other people around? She’d definitely be nervous if she was in that kind of situation, but she’d rather just try to do her best so she doesn’t go home with any regrets. She has that happen to her sometimes when she goes out to record her songs. She’s so used to recording covers at home in her “Nekomata Studio” that she gets nervous at the other recordings. Sometimes she goes home feeling like she wasn’t able to give 100%, which feels like a waste of all those good resources to her.

>Pacing
Okayu has a rather slow pace when it comes to her recordings at home. If there’s a part that she isn’t quite feeling, she can decide to work on it the next day, but that’s not usually how outside recordings go. They usually try to get it all in one go, and Okayu’s just not a fast person. If it were art, it’d be like saying her brush is too slow, so maybe her voice is too slow on this occasion? Still, she may not have the benefit of professionals there to help guide her, but Okayu’s been thinking lately of upgrading the Nekomata Studio. If she could just make it as good as the professional studios so she could record everything at home, wouldn’t that just be perfect? The only problem is that she doesn’t really know everything that goes into making the optimal setting for that kind of thing, but she really has been feeling a desire for that option lately. Would she get a signal lamp? She wouldn’t really need that for her own place, would she?! Other holos might come to use it? They definitely won’t. They’ll go to a much more suitable studio. Subaru might though? Well, actually Subaru has technically used the Nekomata Studio before. Okayu won’t go into specifics, but she’s already let the duck use her room for several solo streams in the past.

>Maid Cafe With Subaru
The other day Subaru invited Okayu out to a maid cafe suddenly, perhaps because Okayu had been talking about wanting to go to one again recently. Perhaps she was influenced by Steins;Gate? That could be it too. They’d gone to one in the past, but that was a long time ago. Okayu was so happy to be back; she didn’t want to go home. Something about the atmosphere in that place feels like a fantasy world. Okayu loves all the cute girls and their frilly clothing. You’d want omurice made by Okayu? Moe moe kyun, right? She thinks it’d be hard to draw pictures and words with the ketchup, seeing as the usual ketchup bottles have too wide of an opening for detailed art.

>Maid Okayu
Okayu could never imagine working at a maid cafe. She’s done customer service style work in the past, and it’s really not for her. If she had to choose, she’d rather be the one cooking the food. She probably would have a hard time remembering orders too. Isn’t being an idol hospitality work? Okayu’s never thought that since entering hololive. Comment interactions are way different than customer service. Comments are more like snacks with which she can pick and choose what and when to eat, while customer service requires you to always eat the entire meal. Does that make sense? Okayu thinks the maids that can talk to people all day are amazing.

>Ballet with Mio
Last month was incredibly busy for Okayu, but this month is mostly just lessons and practice, so she’s been able to get a little more free time to enjoy herself, such as seeing a ballet with Mio. Right, not volleyball, ballet. It was her first time seeing one live, and she thought the dancers standing on their tiptoes like that were incredible. Did Mio invite her? She did. She asked Okayu if she wanted to join her, but said she was fine going alone if she couldn’t, but Okayu excitedly agreed. Okayu really loves the dance of the Sugarplum Fairies, but The Nutcracker only seems to be performed around Christmas time. How does one enjoy ballet? First of all, the live performance is just amazing. Okayu is a big fan of classical music and dancing with intense footwork, so it was right up her alley. And having the pamphlet to summarize what was being expressed and when was very nice too, as well as the orchestra. The program they watched was Swan Lake, and Okayu recognized the names Odette and Odile from a vocaloid song by Mikito P, Ballerina Girl, and was really excited to finally know what the song was referring to. Experiencing a world she had never seen before was really exciting for her.

>Taking daily life back
Right, Okayu’s finally starting to get a bit of normalcy back in her life. She still has dance lessons from noon to night like today, but besides that, she’s had some time to just enjoy herself again and do things just for fun. July was probably the busiest month she’s had since entering hololive.

Okayu imitates one of Pekora’s songs that is very popular on TikTok. She says a lot of Vtubers are using it as a track(or something, I don’t really know TikTok). Apparently Senchou’s Treasure Box is really popular there lately too. Okayu really loves that song.

Okayu really loves hololive’s original songs. She’s very happy that there are so many for her to listen to lately. The one’s she’s into most right now? Treasure Box and Baby Dance. Does Okayu listen to her own music? Sometimes Youtube will autoplay her covers when she’s listening to the other girls, and she won’t turn it off, but Okayu generally doesn’t listen to her own stuff. When she does, she always ends up wanting to redo those songs, because she feels she can do much better now. It’s the same way with her archives.

>Comedian and sharing laughs
When Okayu watches her own streams, she ends up finding spots where she thinks she could have acted stupid or said something funny. Is she a comedian or something? But isn’t it fun making people laugh and laughing with them? Okayu thinks her favorite part of streams is laughing together with the people watching, having everybody be in on the joke. Isn’t it rare that you can do that in your everyday life? It’s like a field-buff for everybody watching. If you go and try to explain something funny to somebody who wasn’t present at the event, doesn’t it fall flat a lot? Of course she wants to make her friends laugh, but more than that, she wants to make herself laugh. It does make her grin to see all those “kusa” flood in from the Onigiryaa though.

>Completely Wrong Okayu
Okayu got to participate in one of Watame’s Girigiri Warukunai videos with Polka. While Watame might have been just barely shy of being in the wrong, Okayu was just plain wrong with her cheating against Polka. Isn’t somebody completely in the wrong just a bad person? Okayu’s sorry for being such a bad woman.

Oh did she hit a million? Since Okayu made a sub-account, the main account has basically just become an announcement bot; very business-like. To be fair, her sub-account is kind of like a bot too. Okayu just has no sense for what to tweet. Thank you for the congratulations though.

Like she mentioned a while back, Okayu has 8 covers being made currently. Making covers at home turned out to be a great way to deal with the earlier mentioned dissatisfaction after some of her recordings at the studio. That’s why she has so many of them going right now.

>The Joys of Extra Time
Okayu’s happy that people can listen to her before heading off to work. She’s probably going to take a long bath and put on some makeup before heading out to work too. She finds that days where she gets to enjoy herself for a bit before leaving just give her a better feeling for the rest of the day. She much prefers it to waking up at the last minute and rushing out.

Are there any books of her being sold at Comiket? There’s a bunch? That makes her super happy. Maybe she’ll secretly go and buy a bunch online later, and see what manner people have been drawing her in. Most of them are sold out online already! No way! Okayu really wants to read them! Okayu talked to an old friend from school on the phone recently, and was told “Did you always have this kind of voice?
