I would say most guys watching vtubers are more akin to people who watched anime to watch cute girls doing cute things. Its not that males are bad, its that its just not what they came here for. I thought her holostars/live collab was actually hilarious... but that's another, separate problem. Its not bad that it was good, its bad because you realize so many of the other collab streams are just plain boring, and it makes you wonder how many of the girls actually enjoy interacting with one another, and how many just do it for the show of it.
