You know, looking up common dyes makes me realise people really aren't that creative when naming their plants.
tl;dr /who/'s colour palette will be pretty European. It doesn't comprise the entire spectrum, but like its RL counterpart, /who/ can probably fill in most of the gaps by mixing different dyes. They might not be stable as a result, though.
>Dyer's madder
It should be native to the southern region, although it seems people have been growing it further north indoor. Its root is the source of Turkey red, and can be used to create a variety of red colours, as well as bright orange and brownish-purple. It can be used with walnut to create mahogany colour.
Supposedly Turks were able to refine it into a purple dye, but I can't much information about it. The remains of the extraction is said to be used to make alcohol in France.
>Chestnut
The tree should be common throughout /who/. It can be used to produce tannin, which has a colour described as "warm brown", but it looks more like yellow to me. It's also a common mordant (stuff used to attach dye to fabric) so you can probably see them used in other dyes.
>Sumac
A pretty undemanding tree that is also a source of tannin (see above). It looks white-ish to me, but native Americans have been using a related plant for brown ad black dye. Apparently also makes a nice spice when mixed with other stuff.
>Sequoia
Named after the tree, so mostly found in the south. You can get a nice purple-brown from its seed cones if you have a decent logging industry to gather them as byproducts. Doesn't like light much.
>Himalayan Rhubarb
As the name suggests, you can probably find it in the eastern fringes of /who/. It root gives a fairly deep yellow, almost brown colour.
>Dyer's chamomile
Should be quite common throughout /who/, and can be used to produce an orange-yellow dye. They seems to work best with cloth fabrics (animals, but plants work too) for a bright yellow to golden colour. People also mix it with madder (see above) for a nice tangerine colour.
>Marigold, Pomegranate & Weld
Likely more common in the warmer regions, with the exception of the more common weld. It is yellow by itself but you can also produce yellow-green when mixed with iron. Marigold can produce orange with madder, and pomegranate can make most dyes less likely to fade under sun or when washed.
>Dyer's woad
Native to drier and warmer regions but seems to be fairly tolerant of oceanic climate too, given its presence in traditional European dyeing industry. It is basically the only source of natural blue dye you (and many other countries) can get.
>Dyer's alkanet
You can probably grow it in the warmer south. The dye can be extracted from its root with alcohol or oil, and can be used to dye things in shades from violet and lavendar to grey when extracted with alcohol. I think it has a crimson shade when mixed with oil and/or acidic stuff. The colour is nice but it doesn't like light much.
>Symplocos
Some species of it should be able to grow in /who/. It isn't actually a dye, but you can extract alum from its leaves, which is a fairly useful mordant for other dyes.

Sounds good for the cloth industry.

>> No.32349457

>>32349204
Well, if it's good enough for France, it's good enough for /who/. You can actually get a lot of colours from plants all around, it's just that they usually aren't as sharp/cheap as synthetic dye, and many of them can fade relatively easily if you leave them under the sun for too long.

Thanks a lot! I have no real idea of natural dyes so these information is very useful for any further research and reading I might want to do.

>>32349457
I'm only writing about the traditional garb right now so the relatively more muted color still works. More brightly colored dyes would be a more modern thing I think. The people in pre and modern /who/ would also prefer wearing cloaks and shawls during sunny or cold weathers, I think it works out.

>> No.32350026

>>32349558
The issue with exporting is that many of those plants are fairly common around, so you might have some difficulty finding someone who needs to import the dye from you. Chances are people will be importing the finished product because of the craftsmanship that goes into the clothes instead of just the dye or colour.

>>32349658
I think it might be more a result of the dyes fading easily and most people can't afford changing/redyeing their clothes all the time.

Perhaps, but for now this information is just going to be used to describe the colors used. I think I might incorporate that into the lore for the textile industry later since I would need to do more reading on its transformation over a relatively long period of time.

>>b. If they do swap, what should the new borders for Warkop be? See pic related for the options. Note: The Warkop rep and AP rep agreed on the swap. (Yea or Nay)

Yea and 2

Upon further review, I have to go with Option 2. The whole argument behind Option 3 made was a good one, however, I can appreciate the thoughts provked and lore opportunities that Option 2 would provide for the world. Given that this is a world building project first and foremost, I believe it is best to go with the option that provides the best lore, even if you cannot understand the "unity" of a nation. If the shoe fits, which this certainly does after doing reps on Warkop, then wear it.

>2. Niji island border updates to reflect future needs. Pic Related. All reps supported this. (Yea or Nay)

Yes, the reps have agreed; thus it ought to be our will to see it through.

>3. Do the continental borders in the Large peninsula that ends at /ahoy/ and the Southeastern continent need to be formalized? If Yes, choose from pic related (Yea or Nay)

Nay, I do not support calling an area disputed however there truly is no reason to care when the real world cannot agree. In the past, the border between Asia and Africa used to be at the Nile river, for example. I want us to forget this concept of continents based upon company before we even consider naming them.

>4. All votes must contain at least one of the following to be considered valid (Yea or Nay):
>>a. Tripcode of verified representative of the voting thread
>>b. link to a post containing a rentry link pertaining to lore or story of the thread one is voting for, with the rentry edited to verify the poster to be authentic.

Yea, as proven by the false flagger, we cannot have this. While I am not thrilled that for whatever reason, the previous vote did not update to include article A into law and I feel that needs to be explained, B. is perfectly acceptable for those who do not wish to have a trip.

>5. Removal of By-Law 12, "The previous land ** /pyon/ that is now empty is reserved to be shared amongst future threads related to that continent." because it is no longer relevant. (Yea or Nay)

Yea, this is a fossil from our past that is no longer relevant to our by-laws.

In short:
1. Y, Y, 2
2. Y
3. N
4. Y
5. Y

/watamelon/ votes (thanks for reminding me Sol):
1. Yes and Option 2. It is what the reps want to flesh out lore and have some fun. No need to go with Option 4 furthermore because the Nijireps have agreed already internally that if a new thread comes, they will happily give up land. Most of our timeloops that the Province system aims to fix comes from taking loreless and unrepped land. In that light, I cannot see an argument for 3 or 4 when the lore potential is great. Furthermore, I believe that Warsuner had a kino idea this whole affair and why warkop is like this.
2. Yes, they agreed.
3. No, I would vote for 2 but this is a useless vote that doesn't matter. Wherever /who/, /morig/ or /LazuLight/ thinks the continental divide is at is pointless, most of the reps in the area lean towards inclusion with the SE continent anyways.
4. Yes, I also want to know why article A wasn't already codified when it passed last week. An Explanation is in order because that violates the spirit of voting to just not put it in when it passed and there was no call for it to be delayed.
5. Yes, and outdated law needs to be removed to avoid confusion, confusion that struck OGsuner when he voted.

Take care. We will get an /Ahoy/rep through meme magic.

You can write that X sell rubies and tropical wood, but you cannot define their whole economy and goods.
You can write that Y has a custom of celebrating a feast whenever their chuuba does a specific thing. But you cannot codify their whole culture.
Now that I've said it, I think we might be getting an /uoh/ rep soon since we joked about them having a caste based cunny-groomer aristocracy.

The wife said she will pick a nation to write for. I have not asked which one, she looked at the map and some lore last night. I do know she frequents HoloJP threads and NijiJP. Fan of Pekora, Marine, Miko, Suichan, Aqua, Kaede, Ange, Iinchou, Hime, Lize, and Mya. I am not going to push her towards anyone. Please do not push her towards writing for anyone thread, she is a little shy and I don't want the whole debacle about personal interests to come into play.

Can't wait for her to join, no matter who she wishes to write for Z. Nice to see you and I also miss Mepman. I did look over what you wanted for Organic. So here is my certified fresh review:
Organic is a wonderful writer and worldbuilder. I tend to agree with the others anons who have said he is probably the most underappreciated writer here because I rarely here his lore ever brought up despite it being of extremely high quality. Here is what I liked
>The Agencies are really well done, he put a good bit of thought into how intelligence services work and perhaps my favorite aspect is he took a page from PP and Meat to make them seem rather avaliabe to tie into others lore. That is great forethought. Each organization in V7 feels distinct despite some being similar and the way he did this was clever.
>The Government I feel was really in depth, for some maybe too much, but it really gives off this feeling of "overcomplication" on purpose. I saw he wanted to change the title of Augustus to something else, and that is fine. With your story for V7, I understand how unnessarily complex it is and that the VFA, while having more power works together it seems
>Economy and Military were well done and were a nice reflection of the troubles that government brought about. I did like the history (even though Bakatare isn't around) that explains the shift, well done.
>Whenever he gets to things such as the culture, religion and history filled out; Organic in my opinion will have given us two excellently written nations that I wish I could have done as well as he did. If we do get a Moonafic, I do hope that we can all work together to do the history of the region in a thoughtful way, and in that project, I would personally request Organic to be our "leader" as his visions of events and how things work are fantastic. I loved how he integrated my lore into Lusitania. I cannot wait to see what happens when we add warkop into the picture (vote pending).
Organic, if you can read this, I think you set a high, some what unrealistic bar for lore docs and it shows. you really take pride in what you do and it kind of pains me to see you get ignored as you do because your lore in particular is some of the best in this thread. Both V7 and mhm are unique nations that add a lot to this world, and I would be happy to use some of your concepts into my lore if you ever want to help out. Salut, Organic!

A 'rep' is the primary thread you are designating yourself to. Your task is to handle any voting processes.
Writing for multiple nations is allowed, but you can only represent one nation.
If you want to be a writer but not a rep, that is also good. We have writers who just wants to write.

>> No.32359493

>>32359382
So you can "rep" only one nation, and a nation has only one rep. This is the guy at the top, the guy who says which lore is canon and which is not, the guy who handles foreign relations most of the time and stuff like that. You can, however, write for as many nations as you want, as long as their own reps agree with any stories you write about their nation.

Generally, the first writer to write for a nation is made the defacto rep, yes. That is mainly because some ground lore has to be established before stories can be written for the setting, and usually that includes at least some foreign relations, since your neighbours won't be able to help themselves. You can, however, pass that title to any other writer of the same nation that you think is capable of handling it, like I have done in the past with vespieBro and /mans/.

I disagree with my origination intention of making him a puppet. I see the four at the top, being the Princeps Civitatis, Magister Equitum, Magister Auxilia, and Sacerdotes Maximus working together as one "corpus". The VFA does not micromanage, what it does is keep stability, root out hostile factions/dissent, keep an eye on the people, and perform the basic operations from an advanced intelligence service. The VFA direct branches act more out of civic duty more so that self interested, especially after reforms. I have ideas about the Master of the Horse being even more related to the Magister Auxilia, but I will need to think

As for the government, I made it complex on purpose to show societal rot in a way. Who knows how that willl turn out
>>32331673
This is accurate, the VFA Direct Branches are trying to take a more paternal role and accept themselves as part of the corpus of state.
>>32329895
I have a few questions tho!!! Could the Magister Auxilia rule V7 if he wished to do so??? I believe some sort of coup would be really easy since the VFA has operatives in every branch of government!!
In theory, that is correct but the operatives also know they are underqualified for such positions and that the status quo benefits them. the MA usually is chosen based on his ability to think critically about the nation and VFA as a whole, and they realize that it would be best to work in the shadows out of "Civic Duty".
>How are the Exploratoris organized?? Are they some sort of elite force subordinated to the VFA or to the Army/Navy?? Also how big is it???
It's complicated. Even though they fall under the VFA, the main reason they do is because those two branches are corrupt and that the VFA would provide superior personnel. As for the size, I cannot give you a detail but almost all intelligence work for both branches, whether it be encryption, decryption, spying or scouting goes to the Exploratoris
>Since the Sicarii has a massive influence in the government, is it loyal to the VFA or to the republic?? I imagine that it could overthrow the government if the Magister didn't approve the republic's ideology!! Like the Secretum Vigilum!! Even though they don't care about reformists, they could easily turn against them!!!
Sicarii used to be more corrupt than they are now. Remember the code that the VFA is loyal to the Republic first and part of the reason for this was past corruption. The Secretum Vigilum also follow this principle. They understand the difference between reformists and revolutionaries. In the past, they targeted reformists but things have changed.
>From what I'm seeing so far, did you want to make the VFA some sort of an unstable organization that essentially rules the country?? I may have gotten some lore mixed up, I still have to do my reps ;w;
The VFA is not unstable, it is the Vitalis Septem that could be considered that but they aren't often involved in internal affairs. In reality, I think all of them are stable, the instability is more of a result from the state's own issues. The VFA stands in many ways as a juxtaposition of the rest of the nation.
>Kino!!!! It's like a spying game then???? Also I can't wait for some more info on the Nigrum Manu!!! Keep up the good work organicbro!!!! I really like it!!!
Yes, this is what I am hoping anons are the most excited about. I love the concept behind each one of the Vitalis Septem agencies.

>Mr. Z, I love organic’s writing style so much. He gives the amount of information that is needed while being detailed. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE AGENCIS. Like these are SO COOL!!!!! Well, there is me for one and the two nasfaq writers, Triangle and Nasfaqronie. You are already familiar with organic and your husband obviously. In the Nijilands, Alice (2434 rep), Emma (Nijimales rep, Rosemaiden (nijien rep), Comfy and the Kindred (nenmen), PP (LazuLight rep), Dragoon (haha rep), KRrep and vnugbro (KR). Also, probably meatbros, the deadbeats and the two warkop writers. I think we have a Moonafic who might be in what is bakatare soon so that would be the last. All of them are really nice and helpful people, especially the deadbeats, meatbros, pp comfy (when he is here) and alice. You will get along just fine with us, I promise.

Ideally the thread's history on this board would be reflected by its in-universe history. Since /ahoy/ has been on /vt/ since the start you might need to push that quite far back in time. Though there are a lot of room for you to write about that especially since your region is very well represented in this project.

ALSO, WELCOME NEWFRIEND!!!!! I AM ALICE or as your husband calls me THE GREAT LOLISAMA!!!! I am the 2434 rep and I LOVE working with other people and I have been awaiting this day for months now. This is so exciting!!!!! But i need to work on my own lore before any decisions are made. PPsenpai told me that I was digging myself into a hole this way, and I need to get stuff done. BUT WHEN I AM, I am ready for the kino! Do not be afraid to ask me for help, I will do my best and end up calling someone smarter than me like PPsenpai, Organic, Dragoon, Emma or Comfy BUT, I will do my best. You are in my care!!!!!

Ah forgot
For new writers, though the setting is punk history with fantasy, the fantasy element is low fantasy.
Fantastic creatures like dragons and sea serpents are just animals with superpowers, no 'holy dragon divine being'.
Magic exists but they are applied magic. As in magic is used in the same way electricity is, to power infrastructure and civilization. Our mages and wizards need equipments/hardwares/implants/tattoos/constant consumption of magic radiation to use magic.
Natural magic users are called Catalognauts but they are less Doctor Strange/Merlin/Gandalf and more like living magic pylons.

Welcome, pirate! That's a nice piece of the puzzle filled out, happy to have you. If you'd like to know more about chuubanite, I'd try reading this first section of the document https://rentry.org/chuubanite#beginners-guide
And probably only this section, unless you are particularly interested. Many nations are low in magic, so that's perfectly fine, just be aware that it might come up when you interact with other nations. /morig/ for example, is pretty high-magic. To answer the question directly, chuubanite cannot provide electricity directly, though you could use it to rotate an alternator and generate electricity like that.
Feel free to use the Black Fleet as the bad guy for any of your piratical adventures!

1. We write our lore based off/inspired from our thread's history, its memes, it relation with other threads, and their contributions to /vt/ as a board.
2. But this works both ways, any new additions to thread's lore that does not exist irl will eventually become reality.
Also this only works for reps.
Say I'm Watamelon rep, no offense, I write lore that we suddenly become friends with /jidf/ for shits and giggles. Serious lore with actual chapters.
Fast forward into the future that will happen to the thread for real.
I write a lore that the nation I rep got into a civil war, breaks itself apart. By next month a giga yab happens and lo and behold an actual civil war.

Certainly!
>Climate
/ahoy/'s climate is predominantly humid subtropical climate (Cfa), with a decent amount of subtropical highland (Cfb) in the highland region. What it means is that /ahoy/ will be a fairly warm and wet place, with its monthly average temperature rarely (if ever) dropping below freezing point, while the hottest month can reach above 22°C outside the highland. Rainfall will be common and there are no obvious dry seasons. The closest RL approximation would be southeastern USA and eastern Australian coast, although northern Italy and a few other places also experience similar climate.

>Biome
Due to the warm temperature and ample rainfall, /ahoy/ will likely be covered in forest when humans first arrived. The predominant trees will be broadleaf trees with some evergreen conifers mixed in. This is likely a good thing for /ahoy/, as the forest should serve as a nice source of hardwood like ash, elm, oak, and walnut useful for construction of ships and other tools. The climate is also suitable for agriculture, which is why many of the RL regions of similar climate has since been deforested and replaced with grazing grounds and farmland.

>Geology
/ahoy/'s land is primarily orogenic, although the continental plate it is on is being subducted under the Minor Holo Plate. Because of that, it's likely that the orogeny of /ahoy/ is relatively old and thus no longer active. It might be geologically connected to the old orogeny that forms the majority of /kr/, although the somewhat higher elevation suggests it might be somewhat younger in that regard. In either case, it means /ahoy/ will be reasonably rich in mineral resources - maybe not enough to build its economy around it, but enough to fuel domestic industry and arms production.

Hi. I'm one of the /nasfaqg/ writers and the rep for the thread. We share a border and likely a fair bit of interests considering that we're a maritime trading nation (well, more enterprise-based than you'd imagine a nation from that period). I'd be willing to reach some kind of an agreement regarding the /ahoy/ pirate activity in the region.

Also, I'll have to admit that I don't like being called "Triangle" here, just say "Nasfaqbeat or Nasfaqg rep". It's my NASFAQ username, but I'd like to avoid namefagging if possible.

I can give you a review now!!! not sure how good it will be but i can try!

My thoughts:
-Wow, this is really detailed! I know you had help but wow, it's not even done and it's better than anything I could make. Impressive work!
-I like the way everything fits together, like everything I see seems like it revolves around central ideas and is interconnected. That's really good worldbuilding in my opinion!
-The Government, Culture and Religion stuff seems interesting, especially since you two plan on doing more!
-Naval History is so well done and you aren't finished
-Who made these maps? They are incredibly detailed, informative and pleasant to look at. If it was you, I kneel
-I really like the national traits sort of thing. It sort of tells you what kind of characters would come from a nation.
- I don't know anything about economics, but it is really detailed so far for someone who hates it!

Incredible, I can't wait to see this progress more!

Alright Alice, I will give you my review of your lore document as an editor right now

Formatting: Looks nice and detailed. The Table of Contents, when put with the "return to top" hyperlink is nice, and is useful. Furthermore, the division of topics is also nice and I assume you will be editing them as you see fit along the way. Nothing to really change right now

Style: The style is very nice, especially with the culture and religion. I get a insight into the national mindset by it in a way which is always nice to see. Sometimes, you can see it get sort of boring, especially with economics (which you would expect) but I have no real advice now since you aren't finished other than to keep it in your mind that you might want to reword things stylistically

Information given: Very detailed yet from what I understand, many other details are purposely left out as they go into sub documents. My advice is simply to make sure you include what you need on the main doc and try not to make it too complex

Consistency:
It is rather consistent, unless my eyes are decieving me, I think that all of it lines up with each other.

Usefulness to the reader:
When it comes to things like this, this is important and I cannot understate this. You can have the most detailed document in the lore but if most of it has no real use, then it is worthless. That is one of the things I love the most about how this is set up. I, as the /ahoy/ rep, can understand the Imperial Navy well and the beliefs/character traits common in your people so that I can stay true to what you have without being in constant talks with you. Underrated when it comes to world building, and as things stand, the usefulness is rather high. Just make sure to keep this in mind, like make a shortlist for trading goods in the future perhaps.

Also one more note, the maps are stunning. Some of the best you can make it Paint, and i would argue they are better than many you could make in other programs because they are useful and have a good scale to them.

Overall, I can tell you built off a solid foundation and it shows. You have excellent ability to write with your partner, and communicate what your nation is about effectively. My biggest word of advice is to tidy up even more in the future and keep what I have said in mind. Refine refine refine refine, and you will make a masterpiece.

Oh, I thought of another use for the "turn energy into heat thing". Sound is transmitted through materials as stress waves, if stress energy in rrat chuubanite is converted to heat, that would make it amazing sound absorbers. You could scream your lungs out in a cell lined with it and most of the noise would be absorbed. Or make a dress that hides the sound of your footsteps.

Aided by technology, centuries of population movements and mass manufacturing, the fashion taste of the Citizens has become relatively homogenous. A young couple living in a port town dresses much like another pair that lives on their pasture in the East. Though the traditional garb of the many groups that preceded the Republic has a varied selection of clothing, many of which are still worn today. Even though they have been deemed obsolete have left their mark on the country's fashion sense.

A common item that was worn in the pre-Republic is the fustanella [need conlang name]. It is usually worn with an outer layer. While in the Mediterranean zone, most wear a simple short sleeve tunic, the East has a considerably more diverse set of outer layers. The South East prefers a woolen opened vest that's adapted to the hotter climate. People living on the Prairies of the North East wear a snug fitting waistcoat that sometimes features a medium lengthen sleeve that comes down just before the elbow. The people living in the Temperate forests in the North West adopted a mix of long to medium sleeved tunics and sleeved waistcoats with a deep but in the middle.

Different lifestyles also led to different forms of fustanella. Western ones has the longest kilt, which covers much of the leg as pants are for eschewed and leather leg wrappings are worn instead. Most of the Eastern fustanellas are paired with pants to suit the needs of a saddle, though the practice of leg wrapping is shared with the East. The pastoral lifestyle also spawned a divergence of design. Whereas the West and North West have kilts that is uniformly pleated, many Eastern shorter fustanella kilts have cuts placed strategically to aid movement when mounting a horse. Eastern fustanellas are also not pleated near the cuts.

Belts were already popular in the North East by the 400s, but the widespread adoption would wait until the next century. Before that, the West use a mix of leather wraps and strings to both secure their tunic and underlayer, with the string also acting as a place to hang pouches and tools. Pelts and leather are also used for the Pastoral and semi-pastoral people under the Rrat Mountains but most in the region use the colorful plaid cloth as a waist wrapping instead.

Male and female versions of the fustanella mainly differ in the fitting and combination of clothing items. Most of the fustanellas for females in the region have a wide, funneled sleeve that ends just before the elbow. Whereas male fustanellas are more varied in sleeve shape. The dress shirt and skirt are also more fitting near the waist, though the more snug designs that most feminine shirts have today only emerged after the 930s. Depending on the role or occupation they take, the length of the skirt also varies. While some North East and Eastern skirts can be ankle length, most only come down to the knee like ones worn by males. Other than a tunic, women in the West also frequently wear a shawl indoors. In the East, Northerners style a longer, open waistcoat while southerners usually wear a vest similar to their male counterpart, albeit usually with a decorative shoulder pad with braided knots hanging off the shoulder. Women living in the North Western Forests may ware long, larger apron-like clothing that comes up to the chest which also serves as support when lightly fitted.

I just spend hours looking at the climate map and different ethnic dresses in Europe. Though I think I also need to get to gender relations and stuffs first to really give context to the clothings.
Fustanella is pretty nice as it can sort of evolves into more modern looking dress shirts. Since not many nations has lore on their traditional clothes I don't know how to tie the emergence of more modern 18-19th century clothing into the lore so I guess I will just develop it locally. Also I wanted kilts to give it a bit of variation aside from having some of the Eastern people be Scottish-Central Asian pastoral tribes for the Moglian horse archer meme.

Oh also, allow me to throw another wrench in your research, since /rrat/ shares a pretty big border with you darlings. I plan to have the general clothing be inspired by the shaolin monk aesthetic, with some influences from traditional korean/chinese/tibetan clothing for the higher classes. Add on top of that plenty of furs because of the colder climate, and I think you have a pretty good picture of it.

Just something to consider, since clothing styles would be one of the things I would imagine would bleed through the border on both sides.

Yeah it's a looong story
At first I proposed a mixed composition like pic related
No zoning
Then we had a zone argument, making each continent based off a theme
Then nuefag wanted to become a neutral mediator and filled them
But the fact is that he did the job haphazardly for the sake of 'finishing it up'
When /inf/ requested a spot for an island at first, he accepted
Then when /inf/ finished that island, Nuefag rejected it and put them on the mainland
Kronies got so mad they crucified him
Then came /meat/bro calming everyone down with a redrawn world atlas
And now we're back to square 1 with making mixed compositions instead of themed zones

>For a whole ten years, the development of these basic issues continued, in which the entire aristocracy of the then humanity took part - the aristocracy, not in the vulgar sense of your time, but in the sense of the color of its mind and heart. Many brilliant personalities, all scientists who have long been part of the renewers, everything that remained honest and noble in humanity, put their soul, their abilities, their knowledge into this work, and, finally, when these questions were sufficiently clarified, the great, solemn , an unforgettable day on May 15, 2496, when we all gathered to finally establish the basic principles, the implementation of which was henceforth to be the goal of our whole life. At this meeting, the following basic principles were decided, which we all know by heart, for they are the cornerstones

1. Mankind cannot be happy until people are reborn through artificial selection and become like children, for only children can be happy.
2. Mankind, made up of childlike people, is not able to remain happy without the constant guidance of Patrons.
3. Mankind cannot be happy without the extreme simplification of life, which is possible without deprivation only inside the border.
4. Mankind cannot be happy without Slaves who would free it from labor, for labor has always been the source of all evil on earth. But Slaves should not be burdened by their work and should not be aware of their position.
5. Mankind cannot remain happy by multiplying indefinitely and without artificial selection.
6. Mankind can remain eternally happy only when it renounces progress and forever keeps its status-quo unchanged.

>And we firmly believe that this time these commandments will be eternal and will forever follow humanity into the immeasurable distance of centuries. Here they are, these ten commandments given to the new humanity.

Commandment I. Be simple and naive, like children.
Commandment II. Live on earth with earthly joys.
Commandment III. Do not complicate life, lest it be a burden to you, and do not live outside the border, for only here will it be simple and easy.
Commandment IV. Love and obey your Patrons, and you, Patrons, take care of Mankind like your own children.
Commandment V. Do not work to get your own food, have Slaves work, but let them not realize their position, so as not to be tormented.
Commandment VI. Do not worship progress: it contains a poison that will destroy you.
Commandment VII. Do not breed beyond the purposes of artificial selection.
Commandment VIII. Do not resist evil: let it die its own death.
Commandment IX. May you have happiness in beauty and beauty in happiness.
Commandment X. Let people not know about death, so as not to be afraid of it.
