Welcome back. I actually skimmed over chapter 5 to remind myself where we left off, so... hmmm where should I start?
Extremely well written, as always. All the characters feel fleshed-out and likable and it's been a blast from the past to read about two that basically don't exist anymore.
The dialogue flows organically and is fun to read, although on some occasions it felt like the scenes dragged on for a little bit longer than was necessary - the one where the gang meets up before walking up to the school, i. e.
I think I said it once before, but I don't particularly care about Pekora. Under those circumstances, I find it an even bigger feat to make me gosling about her as hard as I do here. It speaks well of your skill as an author to properly set up a story to achieve that kind of feeling.
Cl?oe's message on the card made me chuckle, kudos for that.
Since I'm not one of the pretentious oldfags that insist that a story MUST be in black on white, I found your implementation of music... interesting. I don't think I would opt to do the same, but it was unobtrusive enough and fit the scene quite well. All in all, I'd have to admit that it added to the atmosphere while reading. I do like to see people experimenting every once in a while.
I think you found a pretty good way to considerably progress (your) relationship with Peko, too, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you worried about that at some point. The correction tape plot-point was adorable.
Lastly, all I can say is good job, looking forward to the next chapter!

I've never done recreational drugs of any kind so I can't compare it to anything like that, but Ambien will sort of knock you out in 20 minutes or so, and if you don't go to bed your body starts to shut down all on its own. I remember reading doujins before bed and all of a sudden the drawings would start to move and squirm, and the longer you force yourself awake the worse it gets.

Up 1000 ish words from before I cut 300. So not counting the masturbation scene I'm no longer using to keep it shonen, the Suisei fic is coming along steadily and should top out at maybe 7-8k for chapter 1.

Dev notes:
Rather than my original idea of making using Suisei exclusively I've added a few other mentioned only chuubas, and they work at a Kayfabe version of Cover corp. as Cover Corp seems to crust within it's own internal lore as an office that hires whatbare basically cute SCPs.This saves me from coming up with anything for "what do they do" or "how do I name every side character" nothing I've done so far cannot be overwritten, I can rewrite a scene in 5 minutes compared to the hour it takes to write it.

Considered doing some monogatori stuff with the prose, opted out, might opt back in if I have enough weird ideas.

The more I write the more my problems all seem to solve themselves....

When you have a cast as big as yours, it’s hard to find the right balance between name-dropping characters without giving them development and giving them so much development that the main plot suffers.

Okay so I’m still working on my SMT with Chuubas idea, and I was thinking of nit only making VTubers demons but also fanbase mascots and pets demons as well (because I can only write so many VTubers and just throwing in demons from regular SMT sounds too lazy).
