i tried playing a world that was generated in 1.19.2 and ran it in 1.17 to see how bad it is... it's really bad. picrel is the same map and the same pov but in different versions. downgrading the map save to 1.17 completely fucks up your world and generates a new one in place of it. the mobs managed to stay somewhat, but everything else is gone.

when i tried running it in 1.17, it prompted me TWICE if im sure of running a map save with a higher version. i'm not sure if it also asks you in whatever server manager they are using.
