I still believe that that clip where Kiara talked about how some of the council girls had expectations which differed from reality referred in part to Sana. Remember, that clip involved things like unseen (i.e., not just during streaming) efforts, earnings, and restrictive (Japanese company) policies.

If it makes you feel any better, I think she genuinely did like the Sanalites as a fandom. I would like to think that she showed us that our presence was what allowed her to persevere against the other grievances of the job. May just be cope on my part though.

Well, why haven't Council went to the Sana Tower then? We almost had a perfect capstone to Sana's final days and then we get a "to be continued" before an actual resolution with what's at the top of Sana's Tower. If this was going to happen with over 1 month about to be over 2 months since her graduation stream, then it probably would've been better that Gura and Kaela went up to see it instead of being courteous and having Council be the first to do it which they haven't when it would take only one stream to be one-and-done with it.

It’s not like I am delusional enough to think she thought of us as friends or really anything other than a fanbase. Just an enjoyable element of an otherwise unappealing (to her) job; one that offered social acceptance for her own brand of autism and at times reciprocated it in banter. I don’t even particularly know if she felt much loss from losing the fanbase upon graduation, but I do think she liked having us around while she was at Hololive.

I think she liked her fans too. My rrat is she always went in with an unserious tone, seeing it as a pure fun hobby, and partly to please Ina. She liked her community; it gave her an environment to express herself to likeminded people. But the unspoken rules for the company as a whole, like idol-esque activites, probably just weren't for her. At least unlike Ina she couldn't see herself sacrificing 50% of her established career to meet the idol quotas.

She was a woman who was just a vtuber for fun.
