Late 40s here. Vtubers I watch the most: Vesper, Nina Kosaka, Rosemi, Pippa. I'd probably watch Nihmune more if she wasn't on Twitch. Mostly not into gaming streams though, I'd rather play them myself. I have no objections to male collabs, but I get the arguments against them.

Gura and Pippa are my oshis, but I watch most of Phase Connect girls. It's impossible to catch every stream and so on but Lumi, Yuri, Shiina, Panko and Remi are my usual diet and I tune in to whichever one is streaming at the time and depending on my work schedule, or alternatively prioritize this or that girl if the stream has some special interest to me. Mori's bullshit and male cancer destroyed HoloEN for me in general, and I'm explicitly interested only in Gura. I will tune in to Kiara, Fauna or Mumei but this is rare because I prefer PC. I'm so utterly disgusted with HoloEN, their management and total absence of giving a single fuck about quality or culture that I prefer not to give them views as a whole. My dream would be for Gura to graduate and go indie or even better start her own group or company with Kiara and other idol minded quality chuubas. This is of course a pipe dream and wishful thinking. I'm currently looking into Sava from kawaii and Anya from Tsunderia as well.

I intensely dislike male collabs and Mori, who was the pipeline of shit into HoloEN. She should've been graduated on the spot during the Connor and lean arc.

I was never a gamer and to me games are merely framing devices to get the girl to do her thing. If I like the game for some reason all the better, but I am decidedly not a gamer and have no intrinsic interest in games or gaming. I enjoy everything from zatsudans to react content as long as the girl is interesting to me, puts in the effort and is entertaining.

Ina, Fauna, and Mumei are all top tier too, and I also watch Kiara and Irys on occasion. Disapprove of homo collabs and don't like the direction holoEN is going. Don't watch gaming streams much simply because I 'm not interested in watching girls play games I don't like badly. Odd to see so many fellow ojisans I honestly thought the average age on this board was in the teens. If you met me in real life you'd never expect me to be on here either I have a very good job where I make frankly an unfair amount of money. I'm also a father of 3, got divorced for the second time in 2019 and turned to chubas as something to do other than drink and wallow in self pity.
The way I see it my romantic choices are either hags desperate to fertilize an egg or two before they dry up for good or some gold digging thot in her 20's (like my last wife) not to mention my oldest daughter is almost 20 herself so dating a young woman is going to be increasingly awkward for me socially speaking.
So I'm taking the third option and just choosing to support my oshi, if I really want sex I can get it easily enough either paid or "unpaid" (you always pay for sex one way or another) so I'm content for now. Maybe in the future it will stop being enough or I will find someone I think is worth the hassle but I might just be too jaded for that.

Play enough video games and watch enough anime and you'll burn out feeling like you've seen it all. And you'll be partly right as a lot of the tropes will become hopelessly predictable. So you move on to more "mature" or "geezery" interests. Vtubers are a little different because there is more of a personal connection. They can't keep the character up all the time. Eventually real life leaks in. Eventually they slow down to have a real life or move on and quit. You already see this with fleshtubers like pewdiepie.
