It's well understood by pretty much everyone that even though Towa is talking to a male fan in voice chat in a game, they'll pretty much never interact again ever, and they don't have any personal relationship. Only thing I can think of is Apex isn't really "compelling" game play unless you're interested in it, so people who aren't interested in Towa herself (or can't understand her in the first place) get bored quickly. To me, it's pretty much the same as any other collab, 90% of the time is spent bantering and chatting and the other 10% is actually playing the game, which is perfect if you actually care about Towa and not just about getting idle entertainment from whatever game she's playing.
