Why would Cover allow any collabs with other agencies? They're in such a dominant position in the West that for a lot of people vtubers equal Hololive. They've nothing to gain for exposing their audience to other English speaking vtubers. This is pretty far from the situation back when the JP branch started out, where Hololive was the underdog compared to established vtubers/agencies.

That said, I think it's pretty likely that neither Pikamee nor HoloEN have reached out for a collab so whether management would allow it hasn't really been tested.

Ame and Gura don't know how to banter or be the straightman in collabs. Together, they're fine but with JP girls they come off awkward even if they're speaking English. Pikamee would be at 7/10 intensity and it would make Gura shut down and Ame would turtle and respond only when directly spoken to.

The suits are idiots about this and try to keep the newer Gens mostly contained in holo because, bluntly, they can't really stop it if it wants to happen.

Toko and Suisei / Shiina and Okayu go back way too long for them to stop that now for instance. They create cross-influx of viewership and subs which counteracts the bullshit team mentality a lot. The virtual world as defined by Pioneer Kizuna Ai is a space to connect to others, not just humans but also digital entities (streamers).

It hurts my heart to see the suits actually counteracting this trend recently. When was the last Tamaki collab for instance? Norio helped the holos a lot when their channels got demonitized randomly, Rushia and Subaru went on call for her Birthday, tons of holos congratulated her on her Wedding. Norio has her own VTubing company now and Warabe for instance gets frequent visits from Nene in chat, now THAT's a collab I want to see. Numbers-wise Warabe is one of the rising stars of Noripro, also has her own introduction show with VTubers from all over the place and Roberu already featured. Holostars seems to be fair game to just collab around.

Like, I fear the suits think exactly like you lately and I hate it. The only cross-over for Pikamee and hololive in general so far has been AmongUs, and usually JPs.

Not really. Most people I talk to who like maybe Gura or Calli tend to be exposed to other vtubers through their clips. Hololive can be a gateway drug to vtubers, but the youtube algorithm exposes everyone to non-hololive vtubers whether they like it or not.

Pikamee is pretty good in Japanese collabs. I don't know about EN collabs though. Tomoshika, Pikamee, + 2 other holos could make a decent collab for something kinda casual like left for dead. Unfortunately, KFP is too grating to be enjoyable and if Mint is going to Niji, I doubt Hololive would support that collab, so it'd have to be Goorah, Ame, or one of the JPs + an EN.

The Hololive girls have no say in the matter. Collabs are set up through managers.

Regardless, Hololive typically works within its own ecosystem. They don't work with other vtubers. They don't feel the need to. The reason for a collab is to try and exchange some audience members. For it to be mutually beneficial, both sides must have similar audience numbers. Hololive is already the biggest. Collabing with other vtubers would only draw their own audience away from them.
