Outside of ad revenue, having numbers is detrimental as they are greyniggers mostly and they don't buy SCs or merch at all, but they clutter chat and there's a higher chance say negative things about the talent on social media. Ideally invested fans should make up the majority of your audience and that seems to be in the 2.5-4k range for everyone inside of EN sans Gura. A sponsored stream that's not up everyone's alley will not yield bigger numbers than that.
Actually, the way the big corpo vtubing scene is turning out in the west, it seems like most talents will stabilize around that audience size sooner or later, save for big events or hyped up streams. The western market is deflating as vtubers became a normal thing and not something that's a novelty in the middle of a pandemic forcing everyone to stay at home.

Actually Kiara failed to get 2k many times last year for her beloved Tales of Arise series (as well as Ryza 2 but that was during her shadowban).
We will see what happens once she plays another non-pokemon JRPG but for now it seems Kiara's floor has inclined since last year.
However her non-HoloTalk ceiling has lowered quite a bit since she abandoned Minecraft.
