She’s just generally not an entertaining person. She has little to no charisma or magnetism in front of the camera. The quiet normal ones just don’t do as well as loud, funny, or unique ones. It’s how the industry functions and her personality type just isn’t strong for this game. Just like Aki and Roboco. They’re great people. And they’ll always have a small dedicated fan base, but they’ll never grow big.

I generally agree with you but Aki's lack of popularity is all bad luck. Her personality is huge when it's on display. She's done a lot of neat content, had the mukkirose phase, other girls tell stories about her antics and on the high end of holos as far as intellect goes. Her circumstances are just ridiculously bad so she's never had a chance to grab big viewership in the first place.

Mio's a better example. Her solo streams are plain as fuck even though her collabs are great since she bounces off of everyone really well.

Unfortunately streaming is massively luck even for girls in the same big company. Miko was great for a long time before people started paying attention to her. Luna only really came into herself after 4th gen hype had died and continues to suffer for it. 5th gen has great talents but the entire pool debuted to unfavourable circumstances. Sometimes a girl just has to run the race one legged.

You joke but that's what I like about her. Watching her play less well known games is very relaxing, I like it. Currently her Death Stranding streams are very comfy.

Anya will never be popular because she's incredibly stubborn and does everything in her power to be unpopular like:
1. Flush the hype of being one of the few oppai loli chuubas down the toilet
2. Stream gay ass otome games that even her diehard fans on this board had trouble watching
3. Insist on streaming in Japanese despite the number of Japanese viewers she has being small enough to count on your hands
4. Stream super long series of things nobody wants to watch

Melhomos just have to accept that she'll always be the last holo unless she decides to do the bare minimum of pandering for views.

Basically while I don't mind people playing the games they want, she just frankly isn't doing anything hype worthy. She likes the When They Cry series? Does Cover have R07 permissions, or can they get them? She should fucking stream Umineko and Higurashi. They're way more well-known than something like.. Crystar.. which got like 10 big streams for some reason. It's nice to commit to finishing something but probably make sure it's something that'll garner an audience first. If she wouldn't want to stream them anyway because she already played them then that's missing the point of being able to spread your love of something to a big audience.

Also the thought of Anya playing MC is actually-interesting just because it's like "huh, she's actually doing something I know about, can compare to the others, and can be good collab potential instead of playing a literally-what game." It's all on her own mindset really. That and she definitely seems conflicted about her design/rig which I can't really blame her for but I don't think can really be helped unless she gets a new outfit. Maybe what she should do is get a new outfit but a different rigger, or at least have it set up in a way to cover up her chest (.. and maybe de-poof her hair a bit).

Anya commonly is 3-digit viewers, if not low 3-digits on some streams. There are a million indies out there with literally 2 viewers sure, but a lot of them are breaking into the same 3 digit bracket and you'd think Holo which is known for 5-6 digit brackets would do better for Anya.

Different situation though. Most of us had never watched holoID before the moon blew up, or even heard of it, so they were essentially indie Vtubers. But now... We've all heard of them, tons of us watched their debut and checked them out. But when I see Anya I just... No. Boring personality, bad at English, bad c game choices, and... Nothing?
