I was writing a fic from a greentext outline I had posted (I think it was earlier this year). It was about Suisei waking up after years of being hypnotized. Only to find out she's pregnant, has kids, and the bastard that did this to her was dead next to her.
Reason I abandoned the idea? I couldn't find a way to give it a good start and it just fell by the wayside.

I was working on a story about Irys and an anon, written in the style of early books of the NKJV Bible (think Joshua, Judges, etc)
I abandoned it because I realised about 300 words in that the Bible's writing style is excellent at portraying a general overview of events, and focusing on a few bits and pieces, but it's not very good for inter-personal interactions like you would want for a romance story. It would be better suited to something like a fan chapter of Holofantasy, chronicling the goblin incursions in the early years of the Candy Kingdom.

Honestly depending on how good the bibley bits you were writing turned out, you could maybe salvage the concept by turning it into like "scrapbook story"/"epistolary novel" where the fic consists of like bits from that book, in-universe texts like Anon's diary/journal, and maybe conversations recorded by magic/technology if the setting supports it.
Actually thinking about it a chuuba fic told entirely through in-universe shit like letters/e-mails, texts, DMs, and shit sounds like it would be a fun way to tell a story.
Reminds me of that prompt/concept a couple months back about (You) being Kiara's penpal pre-hololive.

Writing an outline or a synopsis first kills my motivation to write the actual thing. I just jump straight into writing and fix the problems afterwards.
