I think it's a vocal minority who screams loudly. I started watching chuubas because of the lockdowns and work from home stuff. I think if you're talking about animated women semi-regularly, you have some kind of problem. Chuubas are meant to be fun and comfy.

Personally, not every vtuber does GFE and even the ones who do are somehow less repulsive than the original e-thots. I think because they're acting in anonymity and behind an alias, compared to twitch girls dressing like whores and shamelessly parasitizing dumb losers with the face their mother gave them. That, and it fully enables their narcissism compared to playing a fictional 2D character that can never accurately reflect the VA's real body.
But I still can't bare to watch GFE chuubas, or ones who are clearly acting or promoting (like with extra lewd/intimate membership content) themselves in a way designed to take the autismbux from the hands of screaming Goslings.

There is little difference between what a twitch thot will do in thier GFE streams vs what the chuubas will do. The main difference in terms what separates them from just being a e-hoeing is that there is the implicit understanding they do have to be able to entertain their audience in other ways. Like the most viewed chuubas don't really do that much of the GFE stuff. Neither pekora or gura do that shit. More so it's more like a crutch that one's don't have the talents to "entertain" thier audience cause most girls know what men want but most will not go there if they don't have to.

vtubers are different from general ethots because they target a weeb audience, while ethots target regular coomers. Vtubers do things like girlfriend experiences, act out like anime girls or other things weebs and NEETs want to see. They do the same thing as Ethots do, like chatting streams or the equivalent of hot tub stream aka RFA streams, its just more of a specific audience. An audience that just so happens would describe most of 4chan, thats why you see so many schizos and goslings here. Their technically the same, but I doubt people here would watch ethots cause they wouldn't do their oshis cute anime gimmick

I keep seeing GFE here and there but have yet to feel such a thing when watching a vtuber. Am I not watching the right ones or do I need an enhanced perception to perceive it?

I think it's honestly just a medium that attracts the most sensitive people possible precisely because it's so largely nonpolitical. Anybody with any politics can watch Vtubers, and that means anybody can get offended when said Vtubers make a mistake too, or at least a perceived one.

I agreed up until this point. There's quite a few VTubers that use the GFE schtick but are talented in their own right. Rushia is a great comedian with a soothing singing voice, for example. I don't think it's a crutch most of the time, it's just their specific brand of interacting with the audience. I can see where you're coming from, though.
