Really just take your time and make shitposts in your spare time you don't care about.
Also remember most people can't even use Gimp or paint correctly and don't know the real difference between png and jpeg, so just taking the background off something and giving it an outline on it is like magic to them.
Also for outlines you can copy it and make a blacked out, slightly larger version of the picture beneath it to give it a black outlne, then erase as you need.

does novelAI not do inpainting/outpainting? if you open it up on krita or something, resize the canvas so it's a bit bigger, then chuck it into something like playgroundai.com and do the inpainting thing, specifically marking the top spot of the canvas where the hair should be, you should be able to generate something that looks decent enough. The dalle2 inpainting was super easy to use but the stable diffusion one is a little weird so you just have to screw around with the sliders until it comes out close enough.
