...Most of them? I've never seen such controversial "success." Cover gives her everything she needs, and she could be a star, but she CONSTANTLY shoots herself in the foot by insisting on her awful rapping and "haha dorky ya boi reaper ay" cringe. She actively rejects success and a half of her new album is just doubling down on what makes her bad, like more poison will make the apple less toxic.

Calliope Mori, the character created by cover, is a success. The woman behind her works hard every day to cap that success and ensure Calliope Mori never reaches her true potential.

not that I necessarily share OP's sentiment, but going into the opposite extreme is even dumber
there's a fair bit of Holos that might be the peak of streaming world in general (above 500 concurrent watchers), but folks like Aki or RBC don't really get the same opportunities as the relative newcomer Mori
there's a ton of Holos still waiting for their Sololive, that didn't appear on radio or TV shows, that didn't collaborate with any JP band or artist that's even remotely close to mainstream or at least a bit higher on the niche totem pole

Not cope, nor a made up narrative. I've wanted to like her from the beginning. The fact of the matter is her aforementioned needless interjections of bad rap and cringe are the single most common reasons people can't fucking stand her. She uses an awful register of her voice to do it and often clashes with the production that was given to her. So she'll literally force her rap into a song that can't fit it, slaughtering all the good work those before put in to making a great song.

Mori literally brought her own network pre-UMG or drafted aspirants like Pretty Patterns to be her mainstay, or Fake/Type that trickled down to other vtubers and post-UMG her options widened, even as much to setting up a sololive for her without waiting for cover.
Cover hasn't done shit to HoloEN and whatever achievements they have obtained is mostly their own. Their success brought in opportunities, not the other way around.
