The problem with Kizuna AI, apart from the seiyuu shitshow is that she's simply not entertaining. Not just compared to Gura mind you, but pretty much every vtuber I've seen or follow. Kaguya Luna was leagues about Kizuna. So is Korone or Watame. And many, many more. To me Kizuna is the definition of a corporate product, with or without seiyuu shenanigans. She's simply a sterile product and her only claim to fame is that she was the first. She is the Maddox of vtubing. There, I said it. She simply isn't entertaining in a business and culture that is overflowing with diverse personalities and talents. She simply can't compete with ANY SINGLE ONE of them and exists purely as a holy cow or a white elephant, but behind her there is nothing but corporatism. Yes, she's in a shitload of Japanese commercials and talk shows and so on - and that's precisely the point. She is famous because she is famous, not because she has any quality to back it up. Whenever I see anything about her I just think SILENCE BRAND.

Again, this isn't tied to Gura being better. I adore the shark, but my point is that basically EVERY modern vtuber of moderate standing is better than her. Hell, Kaguya Luna came soon after Kizuna and she had already totally eclipsed her in quality of content.

Gura was a nervous wreck in her 2M Celebration Karaoke. How do you know? She was losing her composure or outright crying often when singing. It's a sign of emotional instability.
