I would love a retro RTS stream so much but I don't think it will happen due to lacking POI, and I don't know how difficult it is to get the rights. What would you like to see? What do you think is viable from a viewership perspective?
Interested (arbitrary order): Dune 2000, Total Annihilation, KKND (1st or Crossfire), Starcraft 1, C&C (any, even KW), Warcraft (any), AoE 2
Of those, only AoE 2 seems viable to me. Retro games work if the game in question is Mario/Zelda/platformer nostalgiabait/longliving franchise. I also think it helps if it can be played casually or the person playing is very invested in them (which would be highly preferable to me anyway, though skill is less important).

I forgot a point I wanted to make with this: New modern interesting RTS barely exist (I can think of some ~2010 ones, my list of games with personal interest is somewhat longer as well). And yeah, Grand Strategy is not RTS. Total War or Warhammer without basebuilding also misses the point for me. Tooth and Tail may be cute but I don't really care about it as an RTS.
I also have no idea who the fuck could potentially play any of this, EN, JP or ID... which chuuba would you guess to value their APM more than their akasupa and subs? Whose feudal eco would boom the hardest?

That wouldn't even matter a whole lot to me, personally. But you cannot really stream old RTS games to show off the story. You cannot play show off RTS as games of discovery and learning like you can play Puzzles/Horror Games/Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes/Phasmophobia/Soulslikes. It doesn't have the fast-paced multiplayer appeal of Battle Royal / Shooters or Fallguys / Amongus.
You could comfygame AoE 2 campaigns without getting streamer-unfriendly levels of boring but that's really the only potential I see.
