Anon, my Japanese is about the same level as a 5 year old kid with Down syndrome. She does speak more complicated JP words occasionally, which is a good way for me to learn new words without getting overwhelmed. Part of the fun of vtubers is communicating with them in one way or another. She’s not perfect at English and her viewers aren’t perfect at Japanese, but both sides probably have DeepL open in one tab and enough of a basic understanding of each others’ languages to communicate.

I disagree. Despite their shit company and their horrid incompetence, Rena and Kogane, to an extent Mizuki, was very successful in able to capturing their own audience. Having near 60-100 viewer plus a good amount of supa is very good. Both Rena and Kogane are also getting a good number of subs, a steady 500 or so per stream and Rena just hit 20k. This is pretty amazing considering they are from a literal who company, with the Nabi boost playing a big part.
I really think that if Voice-Ore at least try to understand how youtube work and stop unlisting their videos as well as actively working to get the girl’s name out via collab it would be much better.
Rena is very creative in what she does and Kogane is very energetic and fun to watch. It’s really not their fault at all.
The only sad part is Mizuki that she really is just a third wheel. Why the fuck did they commission 2 from Nabi but made the 3rd one a completely different artist I really don’t understand. At least if it was only one by Nabi and the other two by a different artist it would make some sense but it feels as if they were too cheap or Nabi just couldn’t make a 3rd one and they just threw whatever was left for her, given how generic Mizuki’s model look too.

100 viewers for literal whose is pretty good, especially given the fact the girls are more or less hidden away like buried treasure. Mizuki gets at least 40 viewers average and that’s without the Nabi boost.
I do wish that they would be more popular and have more dedicated clippers but I like the way they are now. Their small viewer size means they can have fun interacting with chat and not worry about the more annoying things that come with large popularity. But I do wish that they are more well known. The days of the week being named after celestial bodies is actually not uncommon across languages. It's a bit more obscured in english, but our days of the week are named after the norse god substitutes for roman gods, which were associated with planets(+Saturday where they didn't bother). The 日(び) part is just day.

The 火, 水, 金 come from the names of the planets. 火星 for example is mars(aka the purpose of this classical astronomy lessson).
