Microsoft is definitely the safest bet despite all the shortcoming. Cover seems to take a hardline stance in maintaining brand control. Yagoo wanted it to be "Japan culture first, from Japan" and won't let gaijins take over. A partnership for technology transfer would be the best case scenario.

It's to the point where Spotify buying Cover would be a much bigger deal than any game company. Why? The best you can hope for instead is the other company getting tapped to leverage the brand.
