Likely because only Hololive has an EN faction and /vt/ is mostly EOPs. Hololive is the most marketed brand as well, so it has the most exposure.

Currently no alternative or western VTuber is not relevant enough. The only ones that come to mind are the Gyari trio, but that's also anime, just not the standard.

Very few VTubers are tanned. If I had to guess it's because Hololive finds it harder to market tanned or brown skin characters without THAT being the gimmick.
