>>45727978
Before I get into it, I love Towa and Aqua but they were quite possibly the most overhyped team ever. Anyways, there's a ton of reasons so I'll just bullet point them.

>Lack of tourney experience
Self explanatory, but yeah. Towa was the only one with team play experience before, and even then she's generally less experienced than her usual teammates like Selly or Bora Nun.
>Suisei is practically new
She wasn't bad, but she was being tossed into the deep end of the pool on day 1, on a map she had never seen before because it had been out of rotation for a while. To be fair though, the point system wouldn't have allowed for anyone much better/experienced, if you had Laplus or something instead it would have been the same.
>No coach/limited coaching
I think Suisei had her own coach and they didn't stream much of it so they might have had more coaching, but still they were very lacking in coaching. While most teams were getting pointers and learning the entire time, StartEnd was not, or at least was not receiving instruction to the level other teams were.
>Towa had too many responsibilities
Towa was basically shotcaller, coach and was also on Gibby, a role she's not thrilled about. Aqua was running around like they were in pub lobbies and Suisei needed guiding, it was all probably too much for her. Towa has done better in tournaments where she only has one role (Gibby usually), this time she did way worse.

I think that's the main points and it's already long so I'll just leave it at that. None of them are bad, but it was a poor showing for a first time team for obvious reasons. Towa should do much better with her current team, and Aqua could have improved if she had any interest in trying again.

I've been peaking at some of the customs here and there watching people like nose, noah, sumire, and naraka but it just ain't as fun to watch them compared to Aqua where in customs/scrims she had a lot of great moments even when they didn't win.
Am I really gonna watch a person camp a building for 20 minutes and have them shoot for a bit everytime? I want to see action and Aqua was great for that even though it ended up making her lose.
And besides Aqua was stuck in the mentality that her 2 teammates were useless and kept going off by herself. She got complacent during scrims that she can 1v3 teams and that lead to her downfall. During scrims she took out teams by herself while the other 2 were literally sitting in buildings.

Ping is a preemptive cope for selen fans, she's been doing this cope forever despite being a former ranked grinder who 100% know how ping compensation works in Apex (it's pretty equalized, peeking + knowing you have ping gives you an advantage, but you have to preemptively end your peeks or you might die behind cover). You can see Axel doesn't really know how to play ping though, they'd get better at fighting if he learned. Also, the whole
>actually our enemies are preds and actually they won the apex legends championships and actually
seems to be a new cope for them. So, if they lose they can cope and if they win they can claim they won despite all odds. Hence guys like >>45735431. You just know he'll be insufferable if they win (which is possible based on how they're playing IMO). You can see similar persecution complexes among lefties.
