On one hand some clippers are the scum of the community, but on the other hand it is nice to have these kinds of channels because it is obviously impossible to keep up with every member of Hololive. Seems like this has been something that has been happening over the past year now for clip channels, as some others have posted similar problems of getting fucked by the algorithm and then all of a sudden getting bonked by YouTube. Seems weird cause the algorithm originally loved these kinds of channels and some of their videos would get 100k+ views, but now alot of them struggle to get 10k+ views anymore. Sushi is probably the most prominent channel that got affected, given that they removed literally all their previous videos and just started anew uploading.

Cover has explicitly been fine with clip channels, even allowing them to have monetization if they follow the rules. So this bs is 100% just Youtube being retarded, probably going to see a mass decline in non-JP fans because most of them are clip only fags. Same thing happened with Niji JP, they had a decently-sized non-JP fanbase but that was only when there were actual Niji JP to EN clip channels which have basically erased as there are hardly any Niji JP to EN clip channels anymore.

The same event is clipped dozens of times by a bunch of different clippers in a short amount of time, the only difference between them is either the translation, if there's any, or editing which is usually rare/non-existent.
Of course, there are some clippers doing long translation or even animated clips (especially on the JP side), but those are quite rare.
