It'd be another thing if the jrpg series in question would be the kino classics from snes or ps1, but she's allergic to those and for the most part her actual taste is pretty middling with mid-00's "jrpg dark age" stuff or just released stuff.

And "short filler games" doesn't have to mean only 1-2 hour indie kusoge. When I think back of some of my favorite gaming streams of hers, the best ones are usually around two to three streams, so 10 hours or so, in total, so there's immersion without overstaying its welcome. Portal, Stanley Parable, etc., that kinda stuff. The best "longer running" game streams was GTA, mostly because the story was wacky enough to constantly give her something to banter and work off of (which jrpgs with their often atrocious pacing don't), and the gameplay was varied and action-focused enough that she was engaged instead of falling into the lull that monotone jrpg gameplay often defaults into.

The main problem with FE has been the circumstances surrounding it. She was forced to cancel and postpone many streams because of the JP trip, because she got sick, because of Diablo 4 last week and the NijiEN collab this week, making it a disjointed series both for her and the audience. Since she has her birdbrain memory, any improvement she makes over the course of a stream gets forgotten as a result, dragging the streams out even further. It's shaping up to be an 11 part series, with two streams per week she'd have finished a month ago easily, but here we are.

I like long jrpgs but yeah I feel like this one has overstayed it's welcome. She isn't going to finish it in one stream either.

It seems like a fight takes her about 2.5 hours, since she can only do about 2 per stream, 3 if she goes for a full length stream like today.
If 2.5 hours is about right, then I'd guess she needs another 10 hours to beat the game, 12 hours total for breaks, retries, cutscenes, and post-game chitchat.

The issue isn't really that. The issue is that Kiara don't like video games in general. Well, correction, she likes story, and video games have stories, but she absolutely hates to immerse herself in a game mechanic and get put off by the idea of having to do something multiples times to succeed when it's a very common thing in video game. This isn't something you can fix by giving her a pep talk, she can do it, she probably will do it, but she will whine and bitch about it anyway, no matter what.

But stuff like the terribly boring FE:E crafting filter her - "use this to increase the damage of one of your up to five weapons on up to 13 characters from 27 to 28 but decrease your hitchance by 15%, we won't tell you but enemies in the next map have 64 HP on average". Which weapon is the best weapon to improve? Which emblem should she use? Also what about the 40 other weapons she is using?

Probably not much of a mystery as to why Kiara enjoys this and participates to do more. To be fair, prior their random chance group meetup in Japan, Kiara also hasn't shown much, if any, interest in any of the other non-Pomu NijiEN girls, besides maybe a few rare token courtesy twitter interactions with OG's like Elira etc., but nothing to the level that'd indicate she'd be eager for multiple collabs in a row with them.

It's probably down to the fact that they actually got to meet up in person first, so they already had their icebreaker out of the way and skipped a lot of the awkward "uwu, I'm too shy to contact this stranger which I've never even spoken to before..." that delays so much other progress, and the meetup allowed them to build rapport quickly that'd otherwise takes months to build via online-only, and get to know each others' vibes so they could realize "Hey, I get along well with this person, so I'd like to do more together".

And most importantly, again, that these collabs seem to be happening now so "soon" and so "often" (i.e. compared to the usual pace we're used from flaky HoloEN organizing) has much to do with the fact that the other girls aren't as autistic or busy (or "busy", i.e. lazy) like most of the HoloEN girls Kiara is used to dealing with where getting collabs organized (which mostly falls on her, of course) is like pulling teeth and herding cats, with all the "oh yeah, we should really do something together...
