I'll just say this, the people who are most chill about the whole thing are her closest friends. Not just Kson, but Yura did a three hour that was mostly about Pika right after she graduated and she was also strongly hinting she'd be back.

The reason Gyari and Pikamee gave is that was Pika's decision to deny antis an ammunition to harass other VOMS members. Plus there is a concern about continuous monetisation from ads.
Pikamee is almost certainly won't return. But the girl is expected to re-debut sometime in the future, as an indie or as a part of some corpo.

I've been through reincarnations before, I would say for most people, especially the dedicated fans there's no meaningful difference and you'll get comfortable again in no time. But there are always those that get hung up on the changes and never get over it no matter what.

In any event, some number of people will always move on, even when the streamer doesn't change. New fans will trickle in over time as old ones leave, the community won't be exactly what it was, all these things are inevitable.

As far as Vtubers and models go I have to say I don't care that much, in the same way I don't really care what Pika (for example) looks like IRL.

Obviously a cute model is a big bonus, and a hideous model is a burden that can drag down even the most talented Vtuber, but like 90% of vtuber models exist outside of those two extremes, it's mostly generic anime girls and that's fine. And Pika has good taste anyway, so I'm not worried about it. Regardless, the point is whatever her new incarnation looks like I'm going to call her cute because Pika is cute, and want to pat her head because Pika is precious, and lust over her because Pika is boing boing, end of story.

I can't really pinpoint when Pika became my Oshi. But I tend to watch her akasupa reads and her chit-chat/zatsudan. There's something comfy and calming when she interact with her listeners. First off, I just want to say that I'm not trying to garner sympathy from anyone. I just want to make myself feel better by venting. Call me whatever you want, I don't care.

With that said, I recently saw a post about Pikamee's departure while scrolling the blue bird app and as expected, LGBT+ users don't really care and some are even glad because of this. They show no guilt nor remorse. Pikamee is one of the reasons why I still hadn't killed myself and seeing these people rejoice over her departure upsets me very much.

What did the LGBT+ people even do to make this world a better place? All they do is stir shit and be snappy about everything. They always start drama and I just, fuck, I don't know what to do anymore. They always say to "go outside and touch some grass" when I can't even do that because I'm bound in a fucking wheelchair and Pikamee is one of my escapes from this sad world and now she's gone.

These LGBT+ people are bullies and borderline sociopaths. I try to hard to accept them but if they keep acting the way they do, I don't know if I'm still going to accept them. They act as if they don't care but then post and talk about us for days.

I often fantasize about the day when /vt/ will finally stand up and actually try to do something about these LGBT people, like how /pol/ and /b/ did to Tumblr.

I only really found out about her after all the hogwarts shit went down. I am beyond shocked how it is possible that such a positive person is getting so much hate. I hope she comes back. My own theory is that Pika was burnt out and going through other mental things, and was afraid to start streaming again after the extended period not streaming early this year. She even mentioned something to that effect.
But it seems like she genuinely had a lot of fun in those final streams and could have turned her around a little, and she may have mentioned to other vtubers in private that she wasn't against returning some day.
