I remember TheSweedishChef from Xbox Phreaker waaaaay back in the day.
I mostly ran Nature Faith since it's essentially impossible to go wrong with those two schools. Faith has some of the best offensive skills in the game + Nature some of the best Defenses. Which is not to say the other schools suck (quite the opposite), just that they are a bit more focused and limited in the things they do.

SweedishChef was one I immediately recognized when I saw him.
Nature Faith is pretty solid. Vacuum Slash, Reincarnation, Fire of Gehenna, Fortress of Iron, and Black Hole were pretty much all you needed. I thought Ki was pretty cool, knocking someone down into pursuit/backdraft bullet was fun. I just loved janky stuff, like throwing tables/traffic cones at people.

For sure. It feeds into your fundamentals heavily.
Ki is good but sometimes it really feels like you only take it to get Tiger's Strength lol. Optical is similar for Vibration Laser and Blaster, although it has some disgusting Recall loop potential (Eb0ny, a newer player, is proof of this).
Psycho I'm tempted to call the "weakest" even though it's amazing
Rock Shot, Psycho Knife, Psycho Spear, Acquisition, Rail Gun, Bravery decks in general, Big Bomb and Cluster Bomb... the game is surprisingly well balanced. I think the only issue is cartwheelers, but even that has counters like Crawlers and Dazzle.

It sucks that Ki's defense are cheap but attacks can get through pretty often due to how small they are. I think the main arsenal that abused recall was erase decks, dam those were irritating.
Pscyho being low makes sense. Acquisition does give a lot of skills that last bit of homing they need in order to be really hard to dodge. How the hell does Psycho Spears homing work though? I still for the life of me can't figure out why it will go straight or will actually home in on people.

Yeah, stage wide erase Recall decks are the nasty shit. Pair it with Ice Sword, FoI, Glacial Wall to just turn every fight into a snail pace.

LOL, I'm pretty sure it's just fucked. Sometimes it's a fucking guided missile, other times it doesn't even bother. Very nasty when it works, but you really want to have height difference to make it more consistent (as with all parabolas).
