They were handed the entire english world on a silver platter and after all these years all they have to show are declining performance, numbers, relevance, fanfare and support. Meanwhile the JP branch has managed to keep growing and growing and there are more players on the EN vtuber scene than before still thriving.
The problem is not the industry, it's not the market, it's HoloEN's management and the members, Cover not investing or organizing anything for them and to an extent the audience that has not pushed them to improve and better themselves.
That's another issue with them, they have been losing and filtering their audience but the fans that remain are so supportive of them they will tolerate anything and that has deprived HoloEN members and staff of any constructive feedback or the motivation to outperform themselves since everything will be met positively anyway which contributes to their stagnation and decline.
The harmful influence of reddit and simps on HoloEN cannot be understated.
People who blindly clap are not good fans.
The only one that can save HoloEN is Cover but they don't seem that interested, JP is the main business and focus.

They stream under Hololive so ideally they should deliver content that is on brand for Hololive, there are other alternatives for those who want mixed sex content.

I learned that the debut of the homos coincides with a massive drop in numbers for HoloEN and the homos have been on a steady nosedive since their debut.
I also learned that only 4 members of HoloEN actually matter and they carry the entire branch, but the branch is also perfectly fine and does not need new members even though only a few carry it.
Also there's demand for EN3 but real fans already have an oshi so they shouldn't ask for new members on HoloEN. A few of them carry the entire thing and that's how it should be.
ID and some stars are actually doing better than HoloEN but that's fine, EN3 is not really needed.

Because this logic is completely retarded. An EN3 will 100% bring more eyes to HoloEN, just like ID3 did it a year ago. If there's no new audience left to bring then literally no new gen should've been made, especially one from the least popular branch that's mostly focused on an insular country with a language only they speak, but lo and behold ID3 managed to be more popular than the previous 2 gens and brought a bunch of new viewers, and not just exclusively from Indonesia. Holox is also doing very well in a bunch of different metrics when they debut to 31 (at the time) senpai and didn't dilute anything. I do agree that only EN3 won't save HoloEN, but the branch won't fucking survive if a new gen keeps getting delayed just so they can fix all the other bullshit they fucked up years ago.

Anon it shows quantity that's still available for order. It seems that they set 100k for most variants, so if you see something like 99k, it means 1k units were sold. As someone who also used Shopify, I find it weird that Cover exposes their numbers so nonchalantly.

Not bad honestly. For someone that has lets say 5K people watching regularly and 10-15x more than that watch the VOD later that's really good. They have adsense, memberships, donations and merch several times a year. Not bad after all that time since Mori's debut. If tempus guys got 34K from some merch set not counting individual merch like Bday stuff and all the other income then they're earning not too much, but a whole lot more than regular wagies like me.
