It's technically true but unimportant. The thing is, most vtubers try to chat with their viewers/do stuff with and for them. While that is a service, if you don't have a disclaimer somewhere saying that it's strictly that, then things will obviously be muddied for some people. But at the same time, a lot of vtuber fans KNOW and want to be manipulated.

One thing is being an actor and having a fan who you never had contact with, come up to you thinking you're friends. Another is a vtuber who engaged in feel good/responded to your scs/read your chat messages/did roleplay meant to seem aimed directly at you. I think in the latter case you have at least some minor responsibility for actively being transparent, which ironically goes against "kayfabe" which people seek from this service.
