I posted this on another thread, but regardless i would like to share my feelings here too.

Haachama joined hololive at the tender age of 16, and as a member of the first generation was one of the members at the forefront of this strange new medium that became so popular. Her content changed a lot trough the years, as is to be expected from someone whose life is at a period where so much change occurs, where so much about you can change on an yearly basis. Much as these threads have developed some hate towards her because of her recent content, i think it's important that we remember Haato for the great moments she provided us along the years. She has always been an innovative content creator, seeking to entertain us with streams in ways most other vtubers don't. Her touring streams in Australia were great, her Haaton video review series exposed how much her community is like her in the best and worst ways. Hell, even back in the day when she was streaming Get over it, her streams always felt different in a great way. I mean, remember the indie vtuber totsumachi? That was one of the GOTY hololive streams and i'll not hear otherwise. I understand that her recent content has not resonated with many people here, but hey, can't fault her for trying.

With the annoucement of this long break, i truly hope Haato expands her horizons and takes time to think about what it is that she wants to do with her life. She has streamed since she was around 14, and it's easy to see that she might not even know how to NOT do it anymore. But at 19 years old, i hope she takes the time to find new interests, new friends, maybe even love. Maybe pursue a formal education. Haachama has always shined bright, and i want her future to shine even brighter, and sometimes if you love someone, you have to let them go. I hope she takes as much time as she needs, and i wish her all the happiness in the world. No matter where she goes next, wether she formally graduates or decides to return, i'm sure she's making everyone's heads go haachamachama~, and in my opinion, the world is better for it. Sincerely, a Haaton.

Some Unis do have a Trisem or Bisem format. If she chose a trisem then she's taking her Finals. If she's in a Bisem then that means she overbooked herself to get more free time on her 2nd year 1st Sem. It's called a free semester where students do OJTs to pump their resumes. You will know that she overbooked herself if she suddenly starts streaming August because next semester won't start until late September for may Unis. I know people are memeing hard that Shion is a dropout however she might have taken an exam to get her diploma. It's not uncommon to do so. Other girls have said that she's busy most of the time which leads me to believe that she's probably taking vocational courses, maybe related to graphic design.

Even if she is in uni, well for especially freshman/sophomore years it's mostly GEs and not really all that strenuous really. I had plenty of time to dick around and easily would have been able to stream a couple hours a week on the side in between no sweat.
