More like USA banned them because they expected the chinks would steal the technology.

It's been said that the European Space Agency have had their people work with Chinese astronauts and maybe fly them up there in the future, and Russia wanted the space station to be at a location accessible from their cosmodromes to launch their own rockets to it but China wouldn't do it...

The Chinese space capsule is basically a larger Soyuz and they based it off one due to Russian help anyway. Plus the space suits are based on theirs.

In modern days they are some of the biggest trade partners anyways and geopolitically there is little reason to not cooperate. The only reason I can think of is if China wants to occupy Siberia in the near future.
