as a 2008-2021 computer enthusiast i can safely say you're retarded. everything you reasonably need is found in a simple 1070 from years ago.
i bought my card at around 300 or so dollars and it is now worth triple that five years later. this shit is retarded and you know it is.

on the other hand ram is definetly worth it and actually reasonably priced. buy that shit.
more than two monitors is iffy, I have it working right now but it can be a hassle to manage. often two is best and makes the most massive difference.
4k is worth it for one monitor.
a stand up/sit desk is worth it but please be careful and purchase something good. i bought one from Directiondesk which cost me around 600 dollars in damages due to leg failure. look for a high weight capacity and buy through amazon so they'll compensate you fairly. i ended up shit out of luck due to those fuckers.
nonetheless it really is epic to be able to have your desk go as low as 23 inches and as high as you can stand. shit is always in a perfect position.

this is mostly true.
my 1070 can run vr with 2x 4k displays.
but when i open up steam vr i feel more nauseous and like everything is blurrier. i think the resources become more demanding and it downscales as a result.
either way it's a minor issue, one you shouldn't care about much. when i game i'm not focused on minor details such that it matters much, but trying to use my desktop in steam vr sucks compared to windows mixed reality.

for everyone here this is what you should invest in, everything below is reasonably priced unlike gpu's:
>ram (32 gigs or 48 gigs)
>SSD
>processor (been too long since last upgrade, but i know most are reasonably priced iirc)
>HP REVERB G2 (this is insanely low priced for what it offers... 600 dollars or less buys you motion tracking, 4k in each eye, controllers, etc. great deal for the price if you're going into vr before the next gen launches)

it's definitely less of an improvement than going from 1 to 2 monitors but just one monitor is basically unusable, at least that how it feels to me. That said it's still a big improvement. I've had a toshiba chromebook 2, because I'm into passive cooling, it was a shitty experience even after installing Linux on it.
M1 just performs 10 times better than Rapberry Pi.
The reason ARM hasn't made it to computers before is because x86 had a head start, had more support, and has always had the lead in performance with the right cooling capabilities. However ARM, despite starting out later, has steadily been catching up to x86, it's only a matter of time until ARM surpasses x86 due to it being generally more efficient with every clock cycle. You can't put any of the x86 chips into a laptop with same size of a MBA, with no fans, and have it perform better than M1, so in a sense it's already made it.

But not my oshi, Suichan's got a 2070/9700k, so yeah, mine's better.

This PC only handles games. The other PC has a capture card for streaming and handles the Live2D and Streamlabs stuff. All my games run smoothly as a result.

Honestly your cpu doesn't really matter that much for most games so there's no notable difference between our specs.

High end PCs help with a lot of problems streams can have when different programs are fighting over CPU/GPU resources. Even with an optimized OBS setup, there can be issues if the hardware is on the weaker side, and I don't know how much overhead the chuuba's virtual avatar tech takes up.

Typical old man computer. Sold the 1070 a few months before they doubled in price which kinda sucked. Put a 1070 back in it and it will play anything well enough.

I think you need to dig your head out of your ass and pay attention.

Ryzen 1 - same ipc as intel, only problem was the low clocks
Ryzen 2 - +15% ipc over intel, still lower clocks but the advantage in ipc gave them gaming parity
Ryzen 3 - +25% ipc over intel and higher clocks make them a superior gaming platform no matter what the clocks you run an intel at.

right now AMD is running the superior gaming and productivity chip. the debate for intel is in the same place AMD was at 10 years ago. "best value for the dollar" argument. furthermore Intel has been forced to do the same thing to their platform AMD did with Piledriver, sell the same chip as a new generation chip only higher overclocked... this intel 11000 series is basically the 9000 series piledrivers. with all the same problems. most intel motherboards can't run them at their advertised speeds, many overheat just like old AM3+ boards used to struggle with the 9000 series piledrivers; anyone who used to laugh (rightfully so) at piledriver has no right to defend intel's current chip strategy.

we'll see how the 12000 series goes, but right now AMD is the superior chip across the board.
