Then probably realized it was pretty hard for the VAs to stay in character, and that they lacked a lot of information on their characters to do it (redhead gets asked what's her favorite food at some point and she gives the wrong answer) so they probably felt it was not worth the amount of time and work they'd had to invest on it and dropped the idea. Also only 2 of the 4 main characters still worked at RT at the time this idea came up, which means you would only have regular content of these two, and barely anything of the rest (white haired girl barely got lines on the show itself in the most recent seasons). So yeah, your typical RT shit, lack of commitment.

The only successes they have are RvB, RWBY, and Camp Vamp. RvB is basically dead, RWBY is getting shittier by the year, and Camp Camp has been dead for a year. The rest is just mountains of Failure from RT.

RvB pretty much lost all soul as soon a they tried to make it into a "serious" show rather than the stupid comedy it was before. And RWBY at this point is just agonizing slowly. Shame they killed Camp Camp and RWBY Chibi, since those were somewhat funny, but then again, most talented and funny people already left the company and making comedy when at the same time your target audience is the same group of people that gets offended by jokes is probably too risky for them.
