Any reason why Nijisanji 3D streams have high SCs but the rest of the streams of that vtuber barely reach even $1,000 per stream? They don't even get a significant viewer boost for the following streams. I know such events get high SCs for other vtubers but there's usually some correlation or reason that is easy to follow. I'm not accusing them of anything but it just appears suspicious if you lay it out when comparing them with other vtubers that are more consistent with revenue.

It's just a thank you that they got a 3D since people assume it's expensive. They only shill on special events and merch. Coco started this whole SC craze because of her Asacoco CM advertising asasacoco products with a certain tag price on them. So it became like a running joke. Rushia likes interacting with SCs. No, but Nijisanji doesn't casually do it. It's only happened twice, Minato and Tomoe's 3D debut yesterday. Neither of them will ever come close to $100k in a stream again. The superchats they got in their debuts is 1/5th of their total superchat revenue over the span of almost 2 years.

Hololive, on the other hand, gets more streams with superchats in the $30-$50k range. While Coco's record is $66k currently, she has made $100-120k a week for the past 2 weeks because of many of these streams, which Nijisanji almost never gets outside of the biggest events of their careers.

Yes Coco leaving is partially a reason why she's been getting 100k a week, but she normally gets 30-40k in normal weeks anyways, as opposed to Minato and Tomoe who get a few thousand. Rushia, Marine, and many other girls also get 30k+ weeks without doing anything out of the ordinary.

Niji is losing Lulu and because of Niji's weaker cast, that's a -2. Coco was big for Hololive, but she was just one out of many stars (arguably if she's even top 10 if you count HoloEN). Lulu was one of the few Nijifemales with any relevance, right after Niji lost another big female in Gibara.

Cover manages 15 of the top 20 most superchatted people in the world. Losing Coco hurts, but number #21 is Gura so they more than fine. Also, you're naive if you think most of Cover's money comes from Superchats and not merch sales + concert tickets + sponsorships. I wouldn't be surprised if the sales for Coco's merch in this last month actually exceed what she earns from superchats.

Coco and Marine have also shared that there is a merch design dept in Cover. They suggest merch to the talents. If they like it, they will agree but Coco and Marine have shared stories of personally rejecting initial designs and proposals. Lamy also has shared that the talents will share with the cost production of the items to have better cut. It's probably more than 50%

The cut there is probably more even to 50% since there is very little cost to even produce it. But I do know that the talents themselves commission the art that they want to include with voice packs since Voice packs are usually for special events like birthdays and milestones. Ame had a hilarious drawing of what she wanted to have on her merch that she sent to the artist she hired. It was amazing how the artist nailed it from her doodle. Btw, they don't pay it outright. It's just cut from their expected payout for the month. Lamy went on a negative because a lot of people pre-ordered her merch.

I think you misunderstood it. Their earnings are paid monthly. No matter the cut in profit or source of it like SCs. They take the production cost off of that said earnings they get sure but they still get it returned afterwards on top of the profit from the sales. And since these are pre-orders, it means they know money will come in. The only profit Cover would get from the deal is copyright royalties.
