See a pattern here? It's all stuff oriented towards women. No straight man would watch these type of shows, the appeal just isn't there.
There ARE male-only shows with male appeal, these tend to be shounen series or sports series. Stuff like Kimetsu no Yaiba, Haikyuu, JJK or Kuroko no Basuke.
And even then, such shows don't have romantic subplots or somewhat fleshed out girls that are romantic interests, their lewds tend to skew towards the yaoi side e.g. Haikyuu or Kuroko.
Males watch these shows for the plot development and the competition aspect. Neither of which can be easily translated to VTubing.
Females watch these shows for the design, voice and sex appeal of the boys, either for themselves or other boys in the show.

You can already see what would happen when a male VTuber makes his debut. He has to sell his brand to the audience with just his voice and personality - stuff that appeals more to women. Males that appeal to both audiences at the same time also have a particular personality type - a charismatic larger than life persona that males aspire to be, or a funny bro you can joke around with.
All the various other tropes related to male anime characters cannot be pushed without alienating the straight male audience - who are 90% of mainstream chuuba viewers.

tl;dr: Male VTubing is fundamentally broken because most male anime characters cannot be translated into the medium of VTubing which doesn't have a story or plot.

What does female only anime vs male only anime have to do with vtubing? One of the most popular characters in the world is Goku and he can easily be translated into a vtuber. Just play some hard games and get good at them
