What you DO see in Hololive is things like that Twitter thread Kiara made where she asked her fans if any of them were, or knew of, background artists that could make a Holotalk background for her, specifically stating that she would gladly pay for the work, got a lot of replies of people showcasing the kind of thing they can do, chose the one she felt was most promising and paid them to work for her. For an artist, getting a high-profile commission like that is pretty exciting and feels like a win. And they get paid for it, as well they should. For me that's a better way of going about it.

I'm not trying to imply Fuwamoco are intentionally doing anything in poor taste here. I'm sure they genuinely just thought having a contest for a jingle would be a neat idea. But, whether or not they realize it, it's still them capitalizing on their high profile in order to get the kind of free assets that other Holos would have normally either done themselves or hired someone to do.

From there, the company would have to prove that they did Due Diligence and couldn't find any copyright conflicts. If the court agrees that there's no reasonable conflict, then it stops there.
