Nature anon here. I had another spare moment so I am sharing another of yesterday's intakes. This is Mango and Kiwi. Mango has been with us for awhile she came from a zoo where the other temparoos were bullying here so they sent her here. She is the foster mom for any orphan Temproos we get in such as the new baby Kiwi. Kiwi's mom passed away and all other moms at the zoo he was born at rejected him,one of my former employees works their and knew Mango will adopt any baby she is given which is why we have Kiwi. Kiwi is a bit timid but Mango is making quick work of that. when Kiwi is grown we'll try reintroducing him to the troop he was born in but if he is rejected he will join the temparoo troop here at the sanctuary.

Nah, Holosalt was cool. It was a friend group of closeted furry nerds who grew up on 2000s internet. Loved them, and I can still love them while wishing for more male collabs from Vesper. This is Fig Newton and before you ask he came with that name it is common for animals to arrive with weird names,I plan on calling him Fig. Fig is a Gavin frilled lizard as of late this species has become a popular pet for those with allergies,Fig was owned by a reptile breeder planning on breeding Gavin frilled lizards for pets however Fig was scared of the females and would get aggressive when tempting to pair him. The situation was so bad Fig got sick from the stress the owner realizing Fig couldn't be bred tried selling Fig as a pet. Fig was unfortunately too flighty to make a good pet and was returned so the breeder brought him here as the nearby shelter does not take reptiles. He is a scaredy cat who will hide from his own shadow so working with him has been a challenge however I have been able to get him to eat from tongs so that is a start.
