I feel the same way. Something just felt right about the interview. It gave me the feeling that Coco is up to something, I don't know what it is but she's up to something. I think she already knows exactly what she's going to be doing after hololive and it's something with purpose, I just don't know what it is yet.

I'm always saying that I hope this is like Nobuhime's retirement, where it was sad at the time but later things turned out for the best. After that interview I actually think that better outcome could happen with Coco too.

Yeah for a return you'd need something like a second Christmas miracle only bigger. First and foremost management changing would have to happen and this is the main reason Coco making a comeback will most likely never happen. Hololive has little incentive to take risks on creative content, they're already the biggest vtuber company in the world and they're raking in the nice safe sponsorship money right now so why rock the boat internally? A top earner like Coco leaving is regrettable but Hololive will easily survive it. Secondly, I think at this scale you can't totally annihilate antis of any kind (let alone the chinks) but use of technology (rolling out new chat tools that youtube are developing for example) can mitigate them back to manageable levels, loyal chat moderators can do the rest. I see chink spammers as a nonissue in the future compared to the management problem. Thirdly, Coco would need to want to come back more than she wants to stay with her new job/project and this is a total unknown at this point.

Hololive has been changing for over a year now, driven by corporate goals of meeting every legal requirement and appealing to both investors and collaborators. Things from Cover's first claim that (something like) "we will ensure we have permissions for everything" followed by the Holocaust proving they hadn't done enough to the increasing oversight on content that even killed off Kanata's Holo Otaku streams that would have done nothing but promote other Holos. It's inevitable some things would be lost in the process. Coco was one of those things that got strangled out.
YAGOO doesn't have direct control over Hololive, but he CAN influence it. It's not impossible he will start trying to iron out ways to improve the situation for every Holo and their content while also meeting the needs of a very visible and connected media corporation.
They swung the pendulum far far into the play-it-safe zone in response to various troubles, and it can swing back closer the middle. Coco might be able to survive in the middle.

Just watched the YAGOO interview. While I had already made peace with the graduation, this helped ease any other worries I might have had. The graduation is still going to hurt, but I really do believe she's got something up her sleeve and aside from her roommate, this won't be the last we see of her.

Streamers have been a thing for well over a decade now, there's no reason at all to think ones using an avatar won't still be popular in another decade. In the ending, Kiryu retired from being the 4th chairman. Many of his subordinates chased him and told him not to go. He then lives on, taking young Haruka with him.

Also, we know that Kiryu eventually takes care of an orphanage. Maybe Coco will make a small group, with members younger than her.

Now, Coco after getting the hoodie, will travel in the realm of darkness, like King Mickey.
She'll find Aqua, but she won't be able to safe her. Her problems won't disappear. Just like in the game.
It will depend on herself and maybe there will be help from Sora. Probably with Subaru and Korone.

Coco's story as the 4th gen's protagonist ends here. At least until the plot of Kiwami 2 starts. It's just getting started.
Kanata's original song that was released recently is about unity. She also collabed more with many Holomems.
Meanwhile, Suisei collabs a lot with people outside of Hololive. She's trying to "get stronger" outsied of her bubble.

Thus begin the story of Uzumaki Kanato and Uchiha Suisuke. We're entering the Kanato:shippuden arc for now.

The personality is mostly the same. It may be perception, but she is a lot more human than Coco. I think the nicknames Kumichou and Kaichou are kinda fitting in terms of their aura though. Coco is a Kaichou, the boss of a huge organization, her roommate is a Kumichou, the boss of a smaller organization. This might change though, because it is a matter of streaming style and the smaller audience.

If she seriously wants to continue VTubing I think she'll develop a new character at some point, because it feels like her roommate channel is her safe space, she can return to.
