It is true that Watochama's popularity in Japan is quite low due to the language barrier.
It is rarely seen on the various anonymous forums in Japan (5chan, Anti-Sugiura, Futaba).
The language barrier is the same for other ENs, but the timing of the delivery and the native-speaker-like pronunciation make it even more of a disadvantage.
In Japan, there are a lot of Japanese-speaking V's, so it can't be helped.
(On the other hand, in Japan, they don't know about 4chan's EN antics and flames, so Takamori has no presence in Japan after returning to Chiara, except for releasing new songs.)

However, the reason why there is a certain number of dedicated fans and topics in Japan is because Watochama delivers visually interesting and challenging things even if you don't understand the language.

I really like Ina, but I find myself bored watching her more often than not. I like Gura a lot too, but she almost never plays anything that interests me. The other two…. Ame is the only one who can keep my interest no matter what she does. I love collabs though.

Don't know what you're into but for the first six months of this year I've immersed myself into Pokemon ROM hacks, mainly difficulty based
Blaze Black 1 and 2, Renegade Platinum, and Radical Red
The older games bore me a bit unless they're massively overhauled (like Radical Red) and the newer games are harder to set up (since I have to homebrew my 3DS)

I could see her maybe trying one B side, maybe the first one. I hope she wouldn't spend too long on it though like with the bonus mode, since it is optional.
Aside from that I think she'll just stop after the main story, and I think she'll be able to finish the story at least.
I still haven't even beaten the Core and the DLC level, but I am proud of my clear of Summit B side, that took me two hours.
