Depends on what you consider good I guess. There're a lot of vtubers who don't have FotM tastes but they still tend to fall into a couple of patterns:
>Likes all the acclaimed mainstream titles from a previous generation (Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, FLCL)
>Has a list of approved manime that falls outside of mainstream popularity but is largely targeted at non-hobbyist audiences (Cowboy Bebop, Berserk, JoJo)
>Has "not like the other weebs" tastes of semi-obscure artsy series (Oyasumi Punpun, Joshiraku, Pop Team Epic)
>Has 4chan adjacent tastes featuring series that caught on over the years (Rozen Maiden, Toradora, Darker than Black)
Not to knock on these, they're enough that I think it's fair if anyone sees them and says they qualify, but you're as hard pressed to find a vtuber who has very unique tastes as you are to find someone who does among any weebs. I've never even seen a vtuber who's very into iyashikei, award bait manga or hardcore /m/fags even though those are fairly standard archetypes of anime fans.

That is literally how Japan consumes anime. There will be otaku who tie themselves to a few franchises, but the general watching population in the west is practically the same as JP now thanks to mass distribution. It's no longer one or two shows CR manages to get the rights to; every single show is ported internationally now. More shows every season means more FOMO, so people gravitate towards whatever's currently airing. Nobody's going to go back and watch Kuchuu Buranko or Kemono no Souja Erin or Soranowoto when there's hundreds of newer shinier things to watch.
