some final thoughts on the game:
I liked it, but coming of DXM, I didn't have the "best game evr" impression Morp did, the part variety is not all there, locking fairly basic mechanics and maneuvers behind chips is kinda stinky because it makes the start a bit sloggy, assault boost feels way to strong and quick boost way too weak
I'd till probably mark it as my GoTY if only for the fact I have little interest in BG3 and after reading/watching some stuff on Spiderman 2 writing I'm kinda reluctant on giving it a shot

also, neither tanks nor quads really tickled my fancy in their gameplay or in design, bipeds for life, as marked by my favs

I really like DxM, but I think AC6 had tighter controls. I also think AC6 did a better job with it's story presentation.

Some of my impressions of DxM are marked by played it on the Switch first. I still haven't tried out the PC version, since they sorta shadow-dropped that one.

DxM definitely is a bit more shaky, but part of that comes from the fact it's basically completely aerial most of the time (which makes leg part choice fairly irrelevant defensive stats aside), plus no hard lock option makes it a much different experience, but I felt like you could've mixed and matched better towards certain aesthetics, even if the general structure of Arsenals made them all fall in line of a very similar shape
also dakka builds felt way more viable compared to the missile/artillery-focused AC6
story - yeah, no contest there, DxM is basically babby's first mecha anime, but being able to walk around as yourself and talk to other pilots face to face in briefings added a certain humanizing factor (lack of it in AC seems fairly intentional, but I still wish we got bits like that)

Hopefully DxM2 takes some hints from AC6 just about it's presentation. I did like walking around the hub sometimes, but I also really enjoyed being able to quickly menu through things in AC6 and just replay the same mission when it came time for grinding. Having both be an option would really be ideal.

Also, DxM needs to let you change the music in the hub zone. The default got really tiring after 3 or 4 missions.

Another thing that AC6 and DxM could both use is co-op and more non-story missions. These games are both sick as fuck. Just let me play with my Bros without needing to go full sperg in PvP.

nah, only the multiplayer missions as usual, but they did add the superboss raid (Zeruchroar), that was pretty fun to do in teams until I learned how to solo it reliably
plus you could unlock fighting faction teams, but they're fairly easy to solo too if you have a good kit, most of the NPC pilots don't have that great of a rig
