Why do you watch vtubers? Is it because you care for who they are and the content they make or because you just wanna see cute girls doing cute things? I can't watch cuteness for the sake of it, I really care about their content and overrall personality. The ones I like the most are the vtubers that do not act like your typical 3D girl who streams for a bunch of paypigs, I like the ones that provide different content and are very passionate. Unfortunately though, I'm realizing this is not as common in Hololive as I thought, that's why I'm disillusioned. Most girls act like 3D thots rather than passionate people eager to create unique content that only they could. I know most viewers don't care about any of that though, this is another thing that I'm starting to hate about this hobby. Every clip, every stream, every thread you'll see "fans" that have the IQ of an ant. Has vtubing really become such a layman hobby? I can't stand reading comments on any videos related to vtubers or even read the comments on their own chats, it's filled with the dumbest shit you can imagine. I watch Vtubers because I mostly care more about the person behind the avatar, sure, it's cute and funny the avatar and such but, if not for the person behind that same 2D gal I wouldn't be having someone like Mio or Korone.
