the ironic thing about this is jackson's adaptation was hated by tolken's son and based on tolken's letter 210, tolken would have fucking hated it too. The vast majority of good shots/scenes were either lifted directly from the book or were shot for shot remakes of the 1970s cartoon version of LOTR. Like the part where the hobbits are under the tree and the ring wrath is near or the part where the ring wraths stab the bed is shot for shit the 1970s cartoon movie. Most of the choices jackson made on his own were bad.
