Music VOD views growth on YouTube has collapsed across the board since Jan 1

I think YT might have rolled out some kind of change that's neutered a lot of different VODs by like ~30% of their growthrate, all of them at the same time.

Pmaru President has been hovering around 16k to 22k a day for the last year, and all of a sudden it fell off a cliff down to 13k

Marine Bishopai has been hovering around 130k for the last month, all of a sudden fell off a cliff down to 88k

Ui Loli Kami was around 260k a day and crashed down to 215k a day

maribako has been holding 39 to 40k for months, crashed to 31k

About 20 other songs I'm tracking have lost a huge chunk of their growthrate extremely quickly, completely off trend from their usual much more gradual decay patterns.
Everything I look at has taken a huge hit, I think genuinely everything has been affected, across all vtubing companies and indies. At first I thought it was the earthquake/tsunami etc. taking up attention but I actually think it's more likely to be some kind of change made by YT. But it's hard to say.

I thought the effect of the earthquake/tsunami was attention-related, people were following the news on it instead of watching MVs and were being recommended stuff on media about that instead of MVs. Not that the actual effect of the earthquake/tsunami directly were very important. Most people don't live on the west coast of Japan, it's basically deserted compared to the east coast.
