the difference between "leeching" and "networking" are largely perspective. you collab with someone bigger and totally vibe with each other? banger, not seen as leeching. you collab with someone bigger and it's awkward, it's clear you don't really have much in common, and the pairing feels forced? you're seen as a leech.

Recently, I've started including "readme" txt files along with my finished model art PSDs for the rigger to read. It includes my contact in case the rigger needs me to alter anything without having to go through the owner, a list of toggles and where they sit in the layer tree, and any miscellaneous notes in regards to the desired outcome (e.g. if I've layered fangs to retract or if a tail should move a certain way).
I was worried this would come off as controlling, but I've noticed it can cut the time until the rig is finished by several weeks. Alterations can be made quickly too because they just contact me directly.
It makes me happy when the riggers praise me for things like this... I want to learn even more ways to make their life easier and get praised...
