But that's it, there was no grand betrayal. Mori and Kronii stopped their regular tempiss collabs because the only tempiss homos who were interested in hololive collabs left. The blue homo swore off hololive collabs after his chat got flooded with underage indogs asking about Kobo in all of his solo streams and the orange homo only collabs with Japanese people. Tempoop and onwards joined after the mixed gender craze died down so they never got close to any hololive girls. But Bae still did a collab with two tempoop homos literally last week, and both Mori and Kronii were in the orange tempiss's big collab cover a couple of months ago along with a bunch of ID girls. I think Gura, Ame and Ina are just burnt out from a combination of real life stuff and lack of support from management during a tough period for the branch. They spent years streaming kinda aimlessly without any of the higher scope projects that the JP branch is usually involved in, undergoing a constant decline from their debut and peak Mythmania until the dire state of the branch in late 2022/early 2023. And meanwhile management seemed more preoccupied with pushing a million homo gens than doing anything for hololive EN. I think the stuff people speculate about with Omega being fired and replaced with Jap who brought back a focus on the Hololive side in detriment of the homos is probably mostly correct.

I think early on there was definitely a push from management for mixed gender collabs, probably in hopes of creating some niji type arrangement where hololive and holostars weren't as segregated as in JP. That explained the early big unity collabs. But those died down pretty fast for some reason (management didn't see the results they were hoping for, the drama and general pushback from fans/talents was more than they expected, the homo pushers in management all got better job offers selling hot dogs at the beach and the people Cover hired to replace them were all anti homo, who knows) and the only collabs we got for a long while after that were specific collabs organized by individuals who wanted to do them for some specific reason. The le unhinged dumb and dumber collabs with Mori and Kronii because of the aforementioned clout chasing, the orange homo's big song collabs because he actually cares enough about those to pause his VTA draft dodger LARP for a week so he can send everyone's audio to his mixer buddies, Ollie's embarrassing flop tournament because Ollie, etc. And those are still a thing, with the biggest difference being that the people who organized the most collabs the most often fucked off to become dying 3view indies for whatever reason. There is a huge cultural difference between the EN talents and the JP managers. Vesper got into a fight with management because he didn't like his model, received a 2.0 redesign in only 7 months, and than got into a different fight which led to a "graduation". That happened in less than a year with Tempus so it's not hard to imagine how some of the coomerbait designs in HoloEN could have been the source for bigger fights that kept on escalating. Sana was used to dealing with Japanese companies but she obviously didn't believe that Cover was being reasonable. After Sana's "graduation" the branch was acting like someone kicked a wasp nest and the EN project manager wasn't replaced in December 2022 because things were going well.
