first of all, death (reaper) and rebirth (phoenix) is an amazing ship concept
and an uneven relationship like TakaMori 1.0 with tsundere Mori and horny Kiara stands out against the flood of "just two gal pals with some yuri baiting" with plausible deniability you get both in vtubing and tons of anime
Mamaloni (someone who draws among other things yuri for a living) herself said she "had never seen something like that before" when talking about what drew her to the ship

Nerissa is a geek who happens to have a great voice and good singing talent. She has a theater family atmosphere where all the members are pretty animated in their daily lives. The emo hours stream with Mumei had a lot of stuff that made you think "hey now a lot of what she does makes sense". Like the one where when she was young she showed her friends her birth video as a test to prove if they could be friends, which ironically seems similiar on a surface level I see with Kiara to "test" a bond which probably is key to other traumas but Nerissa has a million of them despite the positive vibe.

And she embodies just what you'd see in an introverted theater kid into musicals in the Gothic aesthetic taste. We saw prime example of that with Sweeney Todd and I think she said in the emo hours video this was her favorite scene from Addams Family Values:

So despite the sugary love and support she exudes, seeming positive family me and other Jailbirds have talked about, I'd think yeah, she still has some of that emo inside. But she is so wholesome cute its like if you successfully merged Wednesday Addams and a Disney Princess' spirits together with the gap moe.
Which is probably why I fell for her, I got a thing for the Gothic theater girls with good hearts. Its not quite like a kuudere, its something different, but gap moe probably just describes it best. A people oriented type of introvert.
